Nice rides Low49, your new project should be awesome.
I have been sanding for days, pounded out all the dents and scim coated them, and do more sanding. I got my metal for my roll pans so it's going to be alot more filling and sanding. Sanding and sanding and sanding!!!
Sounds like the pro70 mobile will be hot rodding soon huh?

Na, It's all smoke N' mirrorz' @ this point. Lotsa' blocks, clamps & rope to keep it together. Just to get a handle on how everything will fit together so i can start "cage' fabrication. Puttin' it together with welds & Bolts will be down the road a ways. Lookin' forward to test fitting the new quarter panels next chance I get.You don't know what you've got til it's gone

Tnanks for the kind words brickman. I know exactly what you mean about the sanding. lol I don't consider my 49 a ratrod, but untill I finish all the bodywork and paint, It will fit rite in while working on it. I would rather be driving and enjoying the ride then have it setting in the shop untill done.Dan

Well, after much deliberation, I decided to put a different style anti-roll bar in the "Z". I spent many hours on the one that's in there now. Made CNC aluminum end housings with grease seals so the bar could be lubed. But the control arms have only through bolts mounting them to the anti roll bar. Even though they were machine fit they still had a slight amount of play. Bad news was that "slight amount" was multiplied to about an inch of roll out at the axle ends. I always worried that play would beat the bee-gee-bees out of those 3/8" through bolts, so now it will have a splined shaft that should go nowhere. So now, unlike some eastern countries, I should have a smoother transfer of power. He He HE"PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.
