I talked to I guess it was his secretary saying 1 ta' 2 more weeks. I told her I expect it next week and explained how far overdue it is already. So they said O.K. we will get it sent next week. Soooo, what's the odds they will use Thanksgiving as a excuse for NOT shippin' next week? Hey, I could swing by your place on the way up to Canada and we could bring him a can of ............. what's that stuff called...........wuppa** or something like that???????

Good to have ya back brick. I was worried you'd done something rash after the election results came in.

I should have put my report here, but I was excited and put it on a separate thread called "I ain't got no body". The pictures on the first page were too small but I reposted a few in larger form on later pages. The first page is still there, but pages 2,3 and 4 seem to be gone, what happened to the later pages? Anyway I got a lot of help from York Sports Cars and gave them credit for the work. Some folks objected to giving credit to a commercial shop but my reply is that my engine block has GM cast into it and the intake manifold says Edelbrock, so what is the problem with giving credit where it's due? Anyway the valve covers are "noname". I hope to get a body this Spring.

    everyones rides are looking fantastic

I managed to survive the election Bob, thanks for your concern I'm glad it's over to speak the truth.
Thanks Hambisket, it's good to be here. It is really good to be working on the ol' Cheby again thats for sure.
Thats a wicked window edge jdhogg, it is surely going to take some time to rebuild but it will work.
Where's the glass? Where is the glass? This is the question everyone is asking? J/K Pro70, I hope that you have gotten it by now, I know how you feel. I have been waiting for a motor rebuild for 6 months. Go figure huh? I WILL be on his a$$ now that I am on my feet you can bet on that.

My car is getting wired right now, chassis is pretty much done except for the ENGINE!! We have started on the interior and the two kick panels are done along with one door panel and one rear panel. New '91 mustang seats, console and shifter are also getting put in. As soon as it warms up(17 degrees here) it will get painted.

    .
It finally showed up .............. I think CHR members contributing to the Front end thread, and the thread then being sent to "ROB" had something to do with it's finally gettin' done. Maybe we could start an ''engine convoy''. If Jeri still wants to make sum' sammiches'. ?? HEHEHE

Well, the '51 resides in winter storage but, the '67 Falcon is going on the road thursday. I'll get the '51 back out in the spring, and work on it. I'm gonna paint it and rework the motor, with a few induction and exzaust parts, I'll be ordering those parts soon, offy 3 carb intake and fenton headders, It'll hopefully be complete enough to take to the saracuse nats '05. I wanna go down to my grandparents where it's being stored and fire it up, hasn't been run in 2 months.

After all the work I put into it I realized it was a waste of time. It's a Chevy and I'm a Ford man. I got more money into the 88 Caprice than it's worth. The time and money I spent on It could have been used to get my 65 Mustang fastback finished.

So a couple of weeks ago I took the stang out of the storage garage and pushed it into the body shop. I got the engine compartment stipped to bare metal and repainted it semi-gloss black. I got most of the bodywork done and finished welding in the new floors. I still have to strip the headlight assemblies and the quarter vents and go over some of the repairs with spot putty. I had to remove the glass to change the headliner and it also makes it easier to get to the rust. I'm hoping to have a warm enough day to paint it in the next week or so but 70 degree days are getting scarce up here and it's still not ready.

I was suprised to see Boyd working on the same thing on his TV show last week. He'll probably finish it on this weeks show. I don't have his crew and resourses so I might take a while longer.

Here's a picture of where I'm at right now.
I am so jealous!!!!!!!!!!! That is my dream car. I actually had one in 1966 and believe it or not........traded it in for a VEGA !!!
To only be able to turn time back.
I would trade my 54 Chevy for a Mustand any day. Anyone want to trade???
Anyway my 54 is in storage for the winter. I do hear her calling me tho. Soon as spring hits she gets an oil change and fluid change, then I am back on the road.

    The land of limbo

I wish I had good news. Actually I wish I had any news. I am just kind of waiting. Yeah... waiting is a good term for it. I couldn't find work, so I started going through the motions of getting my tuition to truck driving school paid for. So now I'm in limbo. And so much for building the Nash. The Nash has been in limbo since I lost my last job. Now the only thing I want to build is my Honda... and just enough to get it back on the road good. But you have to have money to do that. I hate living in limbo..... maybe I'll move away from here.... but moving costs money..... ACK!!!...... well.... maybe my rich uncle will move out of the poor house and croak. Till then, good luck to all of you all, and take up my slack on productivity.

P.S..... anyone want to help with moving expenses by relieving me of my Mercedes?
