Nova it is a rollor. Maybe not to far from some fuel.

    Thanks Dave and Brick

Those Mark engines are being put in vintage stangs alot. Like you say Dave right out of the box there impressive with performance in a lighter car . I pondered the thought before i sold the FB for one .

Bobby: The before and after shots really show how much work you've gotten done. Looking really good.

Nova: The shop that is building your car really does great fabrication work. Normally, I'm not a fan of big wheels/low profile tires, but on yours they look very good and not out of place. Bet you are getting a real stack of cancelled checks, huh?

    new gearhead

I got a new little gearhead in the family last night at 1am. This is Kayden, my first grandbaby. My daughter did great, she had a long day of it before they decided to do a c-section, but both mom and baby are doing well. I can't wait to build his first hot rod with him!

    Dave,
Is this the Yamaha built engine?

Nope, at least I don't think so.... What's going on over in your neck of the woods? Still got a line on that Mustang Fastback you told me about when you were over here?

    Dave,
The Ford SHO will have Yamaha right on it but I'm not exactly sure where. I was thinking about putting one in my coupe a couple of years back but couldn't find one.
When I got back from hunting last fall I traded the two 26 T coupes I got from out there, my other two coupes and all my stock parts for a Cherry never been restored 27 Tudor Sedan with matching numbers. Then I realized I didn't have a coupe to build a street rod with so I bought one back from him. Last weekend I drove up to St Cloud MN and got another really rough 26 Tudor with doors. I traded two carbs for it.
The Mustang I told you about is gone. My son still has his though but it ain't for sale.
I'm at the point of ordering a dropped axle assembly, tires, and radiator for the coupe. Been putting it off because of the expense AND I've doing a lot of riding around on my 88 Yamaha Venture motorcycle.

Sullivan Performance makes aftermarket intakes for the later motors but not the early ones, and that's about it. A new Cobra intake from Ford is $3500.00! I couldn't find much in the way of stand alone wiring harnesses for under a grand, either. But I agree, the numbers are impressive. That's why I bought the thing in the first place. It'd look great in that Ranchero, Dave! There's plenty of room under that hood.
Actually, I don't think that's a Mark VIII motor with the throttle body in the back. That sounds more like a Lincoln Continental (96-03). I've owned two of them (cars) and the motor (4.6 DHOC) sets side ways and the throttle body is to the left which would be at the rear on a rear wheel drive car. But I do love that motor. My driver is currently a 99 Continental with the DOHC and is a riot to drive in city traffic when some ricer pulls up next to you at a stop light.

"Lincoln Continental" Front wheel drive, 4 door sedan, Nice vehicle also. And not near as big, or as heavy as a Town Car.

My folks have one of them too Duane.

And that thing is a terror on the streets. It really surprised me when I got the chance to drive it. I masehd the throttle like I was in my v-6 pickup and roasted a set of tires before I wanted to get out of the gas! LOL

It really throws you back on the seat. I also like the tunable suspension that the car has. I like the sport setting for rat-racing around town, but the cruise setting is great on the back! LOL
