That will be nice for sure, but the work isn't done yet. I went in to install my speedo cable and the left side steering column mount is in the way. So what I have is the right side column mount is in the way of my newport wiper assembly and now the left. So.. I guess I will be redesigning the steering column mount again.
Dave, I had to through in this pic of this ol' Merc that my bro traded that 50 GMC trk for. This car was built in the 60s but 20 years ago they took the nail head out and put a 350 in. Recognize the old lipstick red paint? They even chopped the wing windows back then. He has been after this car since it was built and he finally got it. She is sweet."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

I do have a pair of doors (steel) for the Merc's that have the chopped wing windows, never have got around to making mold for them. Maybe before I do, they should have some hinge pockets installed for suicide doors???? Sure is a neat old Merc you posted the pic of!!!! I had a '58 Ford 2 door hardtop many moons ago that was lipstick red with white tuck and roll!!!! The car went to Kansas City when it left here, sure would like to find it again someday!!!! Had a tri-power 390 with a four speed!!! Spring came and we needed sprint car parts....guess you know the rest of the story......Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

The Mighty Mouse Camaro
I started doing a resto-mod on my '76 camaro about three years ago, I then got side-tracked and it has set in the barn ever since. The body work is all done, and I've been reading up on some of my painting books lately, I'm going to shoot it myself I just bought a set of aluminium heads for it not long ago, and I plan on having it running again by the end of the year.
I miss driving the old car.
More as it developes!I ain't dumb, I just ain't been showed a whole lot!

Good luck on shooting it yourself, it can be done with the understanding that mistakes will be made and it could get expensive. You have a great project to do, it will be fun I bet."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Sinister give it a whirl you may be a natural . Practice first is a recomendation i would say . Start on a old body part with some scrap paint from supply store . Learn about the equipment you have and its adjustments for material amount and spray pattern . First time painters i would say use solid colors they can be wet sanded and buffed to a beautifull shine . Apply a few extra coats so you dont sand and buff through the paint .

Got a chance to do a bit more work on the Camaro. Did some more work on the rear window opening, and got the tailight panel cut bent, and held in with Cleco's. Still have a bit of trimming and fitting to do along with cutting out the recess where the tailights will be. Having fun with the car, think it's going to come out nice.....well, unique at least!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Speaking of work, here's the '56 Dodge redo Bill and I inherited after another clown screwed it all up and wasted a bunch of time and money...and yeah, that thing's got a hemi!!!!! As you can see, we have a lot of work to do. That's a new patch on the area behind the door, should have seen the junk the had RIVETED on there!!!! The rust above is just surface rust so no big deal, just have to grind it off and treat it with some Phix. The car is fairly straight, but does have some damage,, and unfortunately it appears that the worst of the damage was done intentionally. Shops like that reflect badly on all of us!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Also, I had decided I didn't like the way the hood came out on my pickup so I repainted the whole hood, moved the stripes around a bit and added the one red bar in the grille. This pic shows it wet sanded and buffed for the first time with compound only. Should come out ok, at least I like it better this time. I hate to leave something done that I was saying "would of, could of, should of before the rest of the project is even complete!!!! I've had this truck for 16 years now and haven't got it finished yet, so I guess another day spent repainting the hood isn't a big deal!!!!!
The pics show the way it was first, and the way it is now.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
