There was 3 or 400 cars there last year at least, lots of shade there too so that makes it nice. I'm heading that way early in the morning along with 11 of the club members which is one of the things I really enjoy. Hope to see you there 38project, is that what you'll be driving?"Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Hey guys, long time no post. It's been pretty busy around here like i'm sure it is with everyone. I don't know if anyone else has the same problem but the machine shops here around St Louis are really lame. I ordered a dropped spindle kit frm Fatman's and one of the things they tell you to do on this Plymouth is swap steering arms from side to side in order to drop the tie rod end an equal amount to the spindle. Then all you have to do is take the arms to a machine shop and have the rod ends re tapered to let the tie rod end come in from the bottom. I tried every machine shop in the book and no one would touch it. Several of them said it couldn't be done. I ended up sending them to Fatmans, and they're only charging me $50 to take care of it. Talk about frustrating. Hopefully they'll be back soon and I can resume; the front end is almost done.

Finally cooled off here for awhile, we had some 100+ days with matching humidity!!! The A/C couldn't even began to keep up in the shop, quite a few days of starting and quitting early!!!!!
Same around here on the machine shops... I'm lucky in that a friend of mine has a business with all the equipment I need to do most things, and ready access to it!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Seventh day over 100 here, third week over 90. Today was 102 for the 4th day in a row. Working out in it is a bitch! I can't even work on my car because it is smoking in that storage unit."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Hey, I got a question. I bought a tilt/telescope column from a 66 Chrysler Imperial off of ebay. It didn't come with a steering wheel. Does anyone know how the lock and release for the telescope function worked on these? The steering wheel end of the shaft just slides in and out freely, and I dont see any kind of release lever or button for it on the column that would make it lock in one position.

What have I done!!!!
Well, got some clear over the primer on the Merc. I have to do a bunch of work modifying the molds to fit all the body changes, and didn't want to scratch up fresh paint, or let the primer get hit with the UV rays and water that kills it so just blew some cheapo clear on it and in the process of wet sanding it to 2000......
My concern is, what have I done????? The car is in primer, it has red wheels and a few other parts, the interior is not done!!!!! Please don't make me call it a RAT ROD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Then I got the window lip done on Jackie's Camaro, finished roughing in the back end. With all those colors and textures from old car, new sheet metal, filler, and glaze couldn't see where I was at anymore so I shot some epoxy primer on it so that it's all one color and I can see where I'm at..... Old people get confused easy, ya know??????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
