My El Camino came to a screeching hault when every other vehicle I own took a dump! The last 2 days I had to get my 48 out and drive it to work and she did not like coming out in the cold. So far this year it's Vehicles 5, Tony 0 but I am still in there punching. Don't feel bad Dave, it's only 6 degrees here so working outside on my rigs is going to be a long day.
Truck is looking great falcon and the plymouth body is looking fantastic, close to doing the doors huh? I love the look and the color of the interior of the truck, very cool.Last edited by brickman; 01-19-2008 at 01:46 PM.

Thanks! Same story here; 5 degrees out and my sons truck is on the way here on the back of a tow truck. So much for any weekend progress. I guess that's what being a dad is all about.

Seems like some of you are getting the weather today that we have forecast for Sunday and Monday. Today was a loser as far as physical work on the car after fitting up the running board covers and trim yesterday. I did go to an indoor swap meet in Springfield, Mass. and picked up shop supplies and a bunch of SS bolts to replace some that have become "lost". I guess that 210 mile round trip countsDave W

I cant really call it progress but I did throw the springs and rear in it yesterday so I could roll it outside. My son has to put a trans in his truck and it was too cold to work outside. I'm going to lower the rear another 2" but here's an idea of what it's going to look like.

My 27 T roadster/ sort of.
I'm a new poster here and a new builder. I'm a student at the University of Cincinnati so that means I'm poor and progress is slow. But I've built almost everything by hand and its one hell of a learning experience. Any comments from you experienced guys would be great.

BFH, those headers are going to be terribly restrictive with that 90 degree bend in them, also very loud and very illegal......
Hey Pro, what's the deal? That's an automatic!!!! Thought for sure you'd have a Jericho behind that beast!!!!!! I think they sent you the wrong transmission!!!!!!! Looks nice, who made it and what all did ya get for innards?Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
