    I like the way you did those IC2, those are very ingenious and work well also it looks like.

    Yup, just an old glory hound!!! Actually just too old to chase them around the stand and too lazy to build a fixture!!!!!

    I really like those stands Dave!!! Think I'm just going to get these into primer but if I end up painting, going to have to build some just like yours, look like they worked very well!!! Thanks for the pic.

    Mine is probably even a bit older!!!! I probably shouldn't be doing it, but I still enjoy it. Not near as fast at it as I used to be, seems I have to have about as much break time as I do work time!!!! Oh well, can only sit on my butt and watch the boob tube just so long, then I got to do something!!!!

    I never did a whole lot of production work, did big trucks for awhile... Mainly just my own stuff. When I still had the shop, usually had one or two body men working there but now I'm back to doing my own....Please don't tell Doc Hoff, he'd probably be upset with me (as usual)!!!!!

    No pics today but a MAJOR milestone for me. I finished mounting and wiring the GM alternator, ran the fuel line and hooked up the electric fuel pump, welded up a lead pipe for the exhaust, hooked up the temp and oil gauges and FIRED THE MOTOR! It started right away and runs unbelievably good. Never heard a 60 year old motor that was so quiet and didn't smoke. I'm a proud pappa.

    [QUOTE=Tom F]
    Well it was 78F in Orlando today and when I'm back home in MN next Sat. I'm thinking it will be in the low 30s BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

    I got home today and it's only 16 F and snowing YUK YUK YUK

    Dave,
    You've made some good progress this week. The corners look nice, and fenders bolted on....... I'm getting excided about it. That left rear fender where I welded in the patch is looking good, how did you fix it?
    The roof....... I was planning to use the plywood that's on it and putting a Sun Roof from one of the Mustangs I junked out, BUT because the Coupe looks soooooooooooooo good I'm not sure that kind of a roof would do it justice. At one time I also thought about leaving it partially open with a flap that snaps in place. Not too sure now, a stock roof would look pretty good though.
    I stopped at a guys place in Trinity Alabama on the way home and picked up a running board for the coupe, found his ad on Ford Barn.
    Here's a picture of me this afternoon in front of my house. BRRRRRRRRRRRR

    Looks like somebody who came home a week early!!!! Supposed to start warming up tomorrow Tom.... I suppose you're the one who brought us the warmer air????

    The fenders have cost me a few more grey hairs!!!! I did a lot of dinging, pinging, cuttint, stretching, and welding but I'm almost getting happy with them now!!!! They certainly were a challenge!!!!

    Hope to have the body proper in primer early next week. The fenders are almost to the workable level now, and I'm saving the doors and deck lid for last!!!! Lots of other excitement around here when you were gone, but I won't bore the others with all the goings-on....

    I got your email addy from you today, and will get a host of pictures of work in progress off to you tomorrow evening..

    Welcome home Tom, and thanks for bringing us some warmer weather!!!!!
