    Nice try!, I'm tired, I had to reread, Nope!

    I said ---> Toms T is looking good, I'll have to come over and switch it with the one in my garage, the one Tom is trying to get the doors off of.

    I would be keeping my doors, and taking your coupe body.
    The one in the garage is straight & clean, just not finished.

    Ya Dave's doing a great job on my coupe, it's had to believe it's the same car that he started with.

    When you compare the two, it brings the whole project to light.

    Cool Deal Dave. you are the metal master.

    I decided to make a section of the bezel to see how it bent in the brake. The pic. below doesn't show how bad it looked when I pulled it out. (I made some alterations on the brake & bent it a second time and it straightened out some). I flipped the last 5 fingers over so they would come up short of the edge. Then I made a roll edge by putting a radius on the edge of a 1/2" aluminum plate. I tried it that way for the first test that distorted the raised edges & the thin center caved in because there was no support.

    I had a pc. of c-channel laying around so I bolted it to the brake to make a wider edge. Then I put a couple bolts in the 1/2 aluminum plate so I could put the brake fingers right at the edge w/o it slipping off. Then I made a filler pc. out of aluminum to wedge under the 1/2 plate to support the machined out center area of the bezel. The second test pc. bent perfect. Got a few things to finish on the dash cover & then it's time to bend the real deal.

    Hummm, them don't look like my doors

    I orginally was thinking about reversing the firewall, had one in there but I just didn't think it looked very good, I'm glad I put the notch in it.

    I still haven't got an answer from you on how you used the stock door handle with bear claws. Does the one pictured have them?

    Got 'er bent tonight. Got it roughed into the dash cover. Still rough but close enough that I know it will fit. The right wing is 1/2" longer than the left wing, so angles are different. I think I got it purdy' close though. Next is to cut the contour in the fiberglass for the oversized tach & speedo.
    {that's a relief}
