Hopefully not too long, Dave. I'll have to figure out how to do a video and put it online, never tried it before. We just bought our first rental house so I've got about six weeks to get this heap finished before I have to start on the house. The banks are just about giving foreclosed homes away so it seemed crazy not to buy one. Just a basic clean it up, paint, replace some flooring, and with any luck find some good renters who'll pay their bills. Wish me luck.

Falcon nice floor work as what you always do well . I am with Dave i want to see the first wild burn out . But I will do it from here taking up 2 lanes of traffic would open my eye's up
Renters now that is a whole different build subject . The house across the street on a normal market would pull a little over 200K (240K ish ) bank has (repo) at 129K just to dump it . 1/2 acre lot 3 bedroom ranch needs paint and carpet to be right . Thought about it but economy is so bad and i think will get lower for a bit to buy and flip .

Absolutely; I got a 3 bdrm 1,200 sq ft house on a 3/4 acre city lot for $40,000. It appraised at $110K but when the previous owners were foreclosed on, they trashed the inside pretty good on their way out. The bank has been trying to sell it for 6 months. The outside and the yard looks nice plus it had a new roof, A/C and furnace, and updated electric; it seems foolish not to take it.

Good price couldn't pass that up . Guy i work with does some house flips , says anything you can get and sell for under 100K moves fast . So i guess this is the market to be in he says not much profit on each so its a slow climb .

Glad to have you aboard, let's see some pics of that 47!
I finished the trans tunnel and the column mount. Looks like the brake pedal is going to have to go over further so I can get the accelerator in there, but it's coming together. I've got Monday and Tuesday off to work on it; probably pull the motor back out and start finish welding everything.

I've been recruited to help a friend do some work in his shop and try to get the books back in the black after some less then ideal employees took advantage of him....to the tune of $70K over 6 months, and 0 productivity...(average of 16 billable hours for 40 hours worked for one of them!!!)
Anyway, brought the next project into his shop yesterday and what a great way to start out. This old Plymouth is just drop dead gorgeous, no rust, and gets a complete rebuild to modern specs!!! 40 years of this hot rodding and I've never started with an old sedan in this good of shape!!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave it looks like a great project. What are the owners plans?" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Yeah, it's a very nice car!!! I had one of the guys take the front sheetmetal off today, and everything on the car is in very good condition!!!! It still has the original flathead in it, and it turns over just nice as can be!!! Some restoration dude would kill to get his hands on some of these pieces, I'll bet!!!
Anyway, the owner wants MII front suspension, triangulated 4 bar rear, coilovers all around, rear discs, power steering, A/C, smoothed and shaved body, remote entry, and all the bells and whistles... Starting one in this condition, the entire build is going to be a blast!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

The guy has a couple done muscle cars, and a few more projects... I don't think the stock stuff interests him much...Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

It's really a neat car and I think a 340 would look pretty nice in the engine compartment.
My grandfather had one very similar in the late '40's and I've got a scar on my chin to prove it.Ken Thomas

Think the jury is still out on the drivetrain.... Probably what he wants to talk over this weekend. The frame gets a bit narrow at the front, but with the firewall sticking so far out, sure wouldn't be anything major to move the firewall back and lay a nice 340 with a six pack in it!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
