Kerosene heaters and paint don't mix. This is what I ended up using for temporary heat ---and the paint is still on the car. This is a Mr Heater and about $40 plus the tankDave W

Nothing new and exciting around here.... On the 'maro, working out some of the challenges in placing 3 pedals in a footbox narrowed up by a bunch of engine setback....Plotting and planning the rest of the 4 bar mounts....Measuring things for a 8 point bar....fabbed up some trunk lid hinges, and lots of other little stuff.
On the pickup, fixing up the spot on the box where "somebody" crashed the welder into it!!!!!! Some days truly are one step forward and 3 steps back....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Looks like the Maro is coming along Dave. Tonight I cut a jig to align the top & bottom anvils. Next is to cut the frame tube & match it up to the flange on the back of the top wheel assembly.

Oh BTW: I ended up going with a 24" throat. I figured any more would be pushing it with an aluminum frame. I plan to add gussets as it is to try & minimize deflection. I've also got a second receiver (or something) planned to support the top of the frame off the wall corner. I hope that stiffens it up enough. We will know for sure soon.Last edited by pro70z28; 10-11-2009 at 07:38 PM.

Dave. Wouldn't that be cool. But..... to answer your question..no I don't think I'll do*that..
Yea Pat, I will have to do some creative triangulating. I know the guys building E Wheels are building them out of some heavy stuff. I'm hoping to make it sturdy enough to do what it's suppose to do but still light enough to get in and out of the receiver without using a cherry picker. lol"PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.

Dave I found a metal working forum a while back. There are some amazing projects going on there. Scratch built replicas & some just their own design. If I had their ability I might give it a try. As it is.....no.
I'll be happy if I can just get the firewall back together."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.
