Finally!!!!! The '36 Plymouth is getting closer!! All the jams are painted along with the insides of the hood, side panels, and grille shell. Window openings and other things are all taped off. I have a couple of hours work left for some final tune ups on the body work and I should be shooting paint tomorrow afternoon!!!!! Going to really enjoy getting this one finished up and spending time on the roadster---and maybe a bit of time here and there on the '57!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Man that baby is going to be sharp Dave. Hey I got a question I think you can answer Dave, somebody here was making lightwieght car trailor out of tubing that looked like something I would be interested in. I am hoping my 48 will fit on it, I think you know who I am talking about. Anyway just wondering , thanks."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Yeah Dave, lets see a few pics! Don't hold out on us. I know that's going to be a beautiful ride!
Mr Smith, your chassis looks fantastic! I love the look of the IRS; what flavor is that?

Thanks Bob, ya thats the sweet heart I was thinking about. I love the look and how it works, and I wouldn't think my car is 3000 pounds but I have never weighted her. I wonder if she would fit, know anybody that has used one?
ya Dave, why the teeze? We are dying here!!!"Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Yuppers, that's a very nice trailer Tony! How you been feeling these days anyway? Still recovering and gettin' better all the time I hope!
The Plymouth is painted, still at the cut and buff stage now, coming out nice. I'll try to remember to get some pictures one of these first days...
Took a bit of time today and welded the bumper bolt holes closed for the '57's front bumper and did some more sanding and grinding. Getting it ready to use for a mold for the fiberglass one that will be on the car. Found a rear bumper too, so I'll probably do the same for the back of the car.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Ok, just getting going on the cut and buff but here's a pic of the car. Dang florescent lights are terrible for showing anything on the paint... Hopefully one of these days it will warm up enough to get the car outside for some pics.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Looking good Dave. What grit sandpaper do you use on the final cut before paint? Are you putting all of the glass back in to? I should have mine ready to paint next month.Mark Smith

I finally got my firewall and under my hood painted today and hope to be painting the rest of the car next weekend. That's if everything looks good after the final sanding. Pics aren't very good. I think maybe when the flat black turns flat it may be easier to get a good pic. Or I will have to wait until it gets rolled outside. As you can see I used spray on bed liner for under the hood. It too looks better in person.Mark Smith

With those temps you must have a heated booth otherwise a good number of inver red heat lamps????
I like the choice of colour on that car Dave, something different.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.
