Over the weekend and today, I got the inside skin put on the Racerback fairing for my pickup, everything is filled, smoothed, epoxy primed, and hi build primed for the final blocking, then time to paint it and the tailgate. Only thing left for body work after that will be the bed cap.
Started on the garnish moldings for the windshield in the Plymouth today. going ok so far, just need a good plan for the top piece to hide the antenna wiring, etc. Waiting on the Big Brown Truck to bring the rest of the pieces for the A/C and heat system so I can get the inside of the car wrapped up. It's not done yet, but I can see the end from here!!!!!!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I hear yah. Some people seem to just have to put us in our place reguarless of the fact that's where we are! I like to share here, and have gotten used to the random attacks, just got to let the others vent. Sometimes their advice saves me trouble down the line! Most of the time it's just a difference of opinion, or other life experiences than mine!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Good news, it all fits. Forks, Bucket, Auger, Backhoe, Backhoe Forks. Plenty of room. I took the forks off on the bottom pic., they just slip on. Less cluttered that way.
Dave, just pick up a block of aluminum & whittle away anything that doesn't look like a hinge. Presto, there they are."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.

Hey all, good to see everyone is well! Pro....that scaffold looks like it'll work great. Years ago when I was working in industrial maintenance, we did something similar, only a platform with room for four and rails to make it safer. Those things work great!
I haven't been working on anything at the time being in the shop, but I did just buy my first TIG welder for frame work and more importantly for sheet metal mods. Looking forward to its first use.

Well, things were going right on schedule today..... Had big plans to get a lot accomplished! Got the primer/sealer put on the tailgate and racerback fairing, then started putting things away so I could slide the Plymouth over and make room for my pickup. Things were going great till the exhaust fan on my furnace decided to seize up the front bearing!!!! Half dozen phone calls later I determined you just don't get one of them in Madison, SD on a Saturday morning unless you don't mind paying $138.00 for a $30.00 electric motor..... oh well, supposed to be almost 40 degrees tomorrow so I guess I can still get things shuffled around without heat.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Well, another well planned weekend shot right in the butt!!! Did get out in the garage to get a bit of cleaning done, got the Plymouth slid over and now just have to organize things a bit then run the pickup in.... Soon as I get the dang furnace working again--waiting on parts right now--I'll be right back to where I should have been on Friday..... It's a bummer starting the week out and already 3 days behind!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Look on the bright side, Dave...you'll have that heater up and running soon while me and many others are freezing out in the garage with no heat . I did more last winter. This winter I've decided to stay inside. I'll get more done in half the time once it warms up a bit otherwise I just fumble around and bust up my cold hands.'35 Ford coupe- LT1/T56, '32 Ford pickup, 70 GTO convertible, 06 GTO

Guess what? Today is a holiday!!!! So, now to find me a new motor for the exhaust fan I'm down to calling in favors from a friend who does HVAC work.... So far, nothing but playing phone tag trying to track him down!!!!!
35, I'm way too old to work in the cold!!! so far it's about 16 degrees here today, way too cold to even bother going out there until I have the new motor in my hands!!!!!
PS--Another thing I was planning on getting done today is getting some parts mailed off to a racer buddy in Canada---guess what, it's a holiday and I suppose the Post Office is closed too!!!!!
Might just give up and go sit around, drink coffee and play pinochle with the rest of the geezers!!!!!!!Last edited by Dave Severson; 01-16-2012 at 09:11 AM.

Dave I feel the same way most weekends! Seems we start out with car projects we want to do, and end with maintenance stuff that has to be done." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Im with you, Dave. I cant take the frigid temps for long anymore. I've been heating the garage for the last few years with a kerosene heater but I put a call in to see whats involved in having the gas company put a meter out there so I can have a furnace.
