its just a matter of having "hot all the time" wires runing all over the car, in the doors and around the window cranks, so its nessary to get the wires up and out of the way. do the wiring right you shouldnt have a problem. if you use remote control then its not as bad. using a toe button it would have to be hot all the time, remote control it would only work when you clicked the clicker.Mike

Thanks HotRod59 and Brickman....I spent a couple of late nights out in the shop just before the show....
I think my total pic tally for all three days ended up being 288. I sent an e-mail to one of the admins re: creating a folder or something in the galleries so I can get them uploaded....I'd hate to post them in a personal gallery one or two at a time.... I'm itchin' to get them posted without hijacking a thread....
Haven't had any experience with the solenoids....all my windows are manual crank.... Glad someone caught the problem when they did....

Very good point lt1s10, I am going to look alot harder at having a remote control system. I'm not againest them, just was wanting to keep things as simple as I could. If I would have been thinking I would have done them alot different, put the latch in the body instead of the door and I could have put a manual toe button in, no electricity needed."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Well,
I am new to CHR and hot rods. We just started on our 84 Camaro last week, got the tank out and going to pull the axle Friday and driving to Philly on Saturday to pick up the 305 and trans ( the 2.8 v6 and trans in the Camaro now is going to go in the T-bucket when we start on it).

Nice ride Pieceofpaper, whats the next step? Welcome CEThomas, there are alot of websites that have good deals on cars like "Deals on Wheels"
lt1s10, if just getting the wiring out of the way thats no problem. I guess just a toe switch and a strong solenoid is all ya need I'm thinking. I was thinking also of hiding a window switch and just reaching in the door! Now how's that for cheap! HeHeHe!"Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Coming along!
The Parisienne is still in the paint shop (5th week now). We had to dismantle everything, including the windshield to make sure we'd get done with the rust everywhere.
Had to buy new ''fillers'' for the corners and bumper gaps.
Should be primered in a day or two and painted next week...can't wait!
Found a guy to redo the entire motor for 1300$ (for the stock motor) and will most probably put an Edelbrock power pack for 305 on the thing; should get pretty good hp and torque!
Will also change the rear end for one of a 1990 Caprice I.P., with posi diff and disc brakes and stab bars.
After all that, there will only be the interior to finish.

Yesterday I was able to score a pair of Hoosier 32x14 (Actually 16" wide) Drag Slicks for $200 in the Recycler. These will be great for the weekend drags, but I will be using some Mickey Thompson 29x15.5 (Tread is 12.7") for the street.
My new scoop arrived today, and it looks BADASS on the zz4.
Heres some pictures....

My 52 Chevy project
Been on this one about a year. Car is a 52 Chevy Styline Deluxe Sedan. So far have put a 76 Camaro subframe on it. Had to narrow the control arms an inch per side to get those tires inside the fenders. Have built and made mount for the Cadillac 425 engine that is backed by a turbo 400. The engine has mildly ported heads and an Erson cam (low end torque grind). Also have the 76 Camaro rear and springs as well as steering column and booster/master cylinder from the 76 Camaro. I have purchased a set of polished aluminum Halibrand style wheels for it. Afew more weeks of welding up holes and replacing floors and I should be breaking it down so I can paint everything. Will leave most trim shaved including door handles, will french the headlights, remove splash aprons front and rear so I can fit the flip the bumpers, make them one piece and fit them close to body. Will also use a one piece windshield and leave out vent windows on the doors. Since this is a one man show, maybe in a couple years I'll be riding. See my gallery for more photos.
