    That's great. Maybe this is the inspiration I need on my 36.

    Fixing up a hood for a buddy of mine, he just bought the car last fall, some clown had used filler to plug a rust hole!

    The other one is just a pic of too much stuff, not enough garage!

    Nice work Dave! Definitely looks like we have the same problem. Not enough space and too many projects.

    I am still putting the 51 chevy back together, life gets in the way sometimes but that's not new to any one here. I am hoping to get it running this summer

    Hi Don;
    Also a newbi here.
    Have you tried cam lock nuts? Their available in steel in standard grades and also 308/316 stainless through Mcmaster carr. Not exactly a trip to chrome depot or slows but they have an amazing array of hardware.

    Hi Mike S64, thanks for offering help on your first post, and we're glad to see you here..
    But you've replied to a thread that was last active in 2015.. not a bad thing but, I wouldn't expect a reply

    Thanks for trying! 8-)

    Hi Mike, I still exist and am still upright. I just went to a local meet last Friday at the local Chic Fila on Route 1 just north of Richmond (Glen Allen). However, I now regard my 1929 Ford roadster as completed with only occasional repair or Inspection needs. Thanks to the Forum for a birthday notice on my 81st and thanks to others in maintaining my past comments. Thanks to 34-40 for keeping my old comments under my one-L (Shilady) name. I keep looking at the LS rebuilt engines but my old '76 Corvette 350 stiil has less than 5000 miles on the rebuild so I'll just run it as long as it is OK. I did finally learn why I destroyed four starters and two ring gears due to a slightly loose hold down on the distributor which allowed the timing to get way too advanced. It starts easy now with the proper timing and a firm hold down! An expensive lesson! The past 18 months I have been replacing a Professor who passed away in 2016 and I did not have much time for the car but now I am back retired again!

    Best Wishes,

    Hi YA Don! Nice to see you here.. again! 8-)
    And good to hear the starters finally got sorted. Now that you've "re" retired... I hope you can add the miles on it.
