I hope so Pro70, I wish the best for her and her fiance' and that you will survive it!
Pretty tight fit there 48olds and you did really cut that frame up huh? Oh well, as long as it's strong and works well. It will be awesome with the bags in, very cool.

Does anybody know where I could get a pre-made headliner for my '48? I was thinking of trying to installing one myself if I didn't have to do the sewing."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Hey Brick, as great a job as you have done on the rest of the interior, why would you want to farm out the headliner??????????? I know, easy for me to say, I'm not the one doing all the cutting, fitting, and sewing !!!!!!!!!
Don't know of a source for you to find one, some of those old chebbie retro parts companies must make one for the car, though???????????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Well...uh...Hell I don't know Dave! Wanting a short cut I guess thats all I can think of. heHeHe, I'll be putting it in anyway and that is going to be enough. I have alot I want to get done this winter, I did get some good news today. A good friend has offered me a corner of his shop, opening up in a week or so. I guess he got tired of watching a grown man cry and whine!!! I'm very excited to get started."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Okay guys, I like the look of braided steel lines but I don't like the look of those covers that go over stock hoses. So, I have been looking at the real deal in my little ol' speedway catalog and I have no Idea what they mean by "an" fittings. What is the best ones to use for say fuel line or Radiator hose. Do you all recommend it and also what are the size's? They are marked as #2,#3,#4 and so forth. I have no idea what does what so some advice would be awesome, thanks."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

AN stands for Air Force/Navy. The hose sizes are expressed in sixteenths of an inch. A 4 is 4/16ths, or 1/4".......an 8 is 8/16ths, or 1/2".......and so forth.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

Cool, that explains what I wanted to know, I think I am going to go ahead and upgrade my car with braided hose for my new engine, thanks guys as usual.
Do you guys know which is better, the push on or the other (which I'm not sure how they work)?"Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Either kind work fine. Just make sure you step up and use the custom wrenches make for each size, it's better than trying to duct tape a Crescent wrench to prevent damage. Also, if you don't like the bright colors of the anodizing it can be removed with oven cleaner. Of course then you have to work a little more at keeping them bright looking.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
