Thats going to be one kick-butt street car pro70!! Just don't forget to turn on the pump huh? Do those third members just run that hot or is it just when you are racing? Also what creates so much heat anyway?

2 cars at once cffisher? Who's the Man!! That sounds like something Dave Severson would do!! HeHeHe!! Looks like a narrowed rear and a MusII front suspension huh? Looking good, keep is informed.

I got my inner fenders and Dash painted so after new tie rod ends she's going back together, I'm on schedule so far Dave, can you believe it!!! Everynight and all weekend every weekend is doing the job but Momma's getting restless! May be a trip to red Lobster in my near future!

Hey Brick, If ya' gotta' eat a few crustaceans ....that's not so bad. HEHEHE

The reason this gear set heats up is they are "pro gears". Pro gears are softer to take the shock of a hard launch. Soft gears under continuous use will heat up and start trading material (wear). Not so good for them. But the trade off is Harder street gears hold up to driving but tend to be more brittle. That's not so good either when hooked to a blown big block & sticky tires. That's why eventually it would be nice to have 2 set-ups. One for street and one for strip. Not only for the type of gear but also the gear ratios.

Your right about spring Dave, the club is already itchin' to get the rods out thats for sure. Have you been after the ranchero Dave?

Max010, what kind of truck is it? I couldn't find it in that link.

I went over my engine yesterday and made sure everything was done and tight. Got all of my little detail peices painted and the front end will go back on today. then it will be the dash and doors that get the full treatment.

nice ride iceburgh, very sweet! Glad to have ya showing out your build. More pics would be in order as you go, very nice ride I'm jealous!

I got my front end back on with the radiator mounted and new horns and radiator and everything else that is needed to make it looking good finally! Now that all the wiring has been hiden and the front clip back on it's time to go to the interior.

    Question

Ok DennyW, that pic in the last reply was done through another program, it's fair on my end but a little frosty looking. How is it on your end? In other words, it's frosted looking to me because to be able to see all the detail I have to lighten it to the point that it starts looking frosty and transloucent looking to me. I think that If I do that it is way to bright to you all. I have discovered that if you decrease the contrast 1/2 as much as you brighten it, it looks almost normal. The only drawback is that I can't controll the sharpness and realness of it, in other words none of the pics do my car's color blue any justice as far as being a good representitive of the color.
DennyW, I hope that you don't think I am getting an attitude or being a smart a$$, I am just going to school and am using your expertice as a control point.

Dave, any thoughts about your 27? Am I going to see some rolling shots soon or are you holding out to drop a bomb on us? Your not one of those "Keep it quite to yourself" kind of fell'rs are ya? I know you have been tinkering with the ranchero but awefull quite otherwise. Just curious.

Iceburg, good looking coupe!! Should be a nice one when you're done

Brick, I see you have the front end back on, way to go!!! Haven't got much done on the Ranchero, a little bit on the hood but that's about it. Getting a bit healthier, should be back on it soon. Hate this cold weather!!!!

You guys are too fast for me, I just keep sloggin on. I need to just sit in the garage and look at the situation and mull it over before I do it a day or two later or else it becomes mistake after mistake. Anyway I am only writing this time ( I usually ignore this thread because I can't keep up) because I like the alternator bracket! And of course DennyW is GREAT with the picture enhancement. I never did thank DennyW for coloring in a '29 roadster in maroon for me, thanks DennyW! I have been mucking around for over two months trying to figure out how to cover the tops of the rear coilovers after I cut holes in my Bebops floorpan and after four or more trials I found some trays meant to hold spoons in a kitchen drawer. When I turn them upside down they are the exact size to cover the holes I cut in the floor pan so I made some sheet steel hold-down collars around the inverted pans and will put an inner tube rubber gasket between the plates and the floor and hope that seals out splash water? I'll get some pictures when I get them bolted in. So far this has been the only real problem with the Bebops '29 floor-fenders, but I lost a lot of time trying to figure it out.
