Thats very cool, my wifes choice would be all one color. I am leaning toward 2 tone just for something different. I think IMHO that the body is too high sided to have just one color, I think it needs to be broken up to make the car not look so tall."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"

Brick, there was one in I think Street Rodder a couple years back that was done in the old Cream and Red combination, broke the car up very nice. Also have seen them done in the old tu tone blues like the tri-five chebbies and come out very nice.
Well, we've had my new driver racing 5 times on 4 different tracks in the last 8 days. We've driven the car on the trailer every night, meaning he didn't break it. His worst feature finish was 7th, best was 3rd... Very pleased with his performance so far.... Started ordering up tubing and suspension pieces for a new car, moving up a couple classes (to IMCA Stock Car)car next year. We'll also be running an IMCA B-Mod which Greg's older brother will drive. Hopefully in a couple of years, Greg will be running a mod and Jim will be in one of the Late Models. For a guy all done with racing years ago, I sure am having a blast!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

more of the same
THe fuel pump I got last monday has 1/4 NPT ports and I need 3/8 NPT..
I asked specifically what size they were before I bought it & was told 3/8.
They said they would issue a refund, if they hassle me I'll reveal them.
The bumper brackets that came from Canada finally arrived this Am with only 1 front bracket in the package when I needed both of them....
I checked the pic of what I bid on & sure enough I got a pair of rear brackets,2 outers & 1 center..so thats on me....
I removed the old air shox on Saturday, got the car on the ground & determined that the leaf springs are shot.
The only good to come out of all this is that I located a guy who has a
'66 Fairlane he's parting out & his springs are like new
+ he has other parts as well so THIS delay will only be another week or so & besides
the car HAS been sitting for 20 years.

I think you have the fuel pump you need, but don't realize it. The standard of the industry is 1/4 inch NPT outlets. From that you can put a 1/4 npt to 3/8 inch fuel hose barb that you use to run standard 3/8 fuel line. 3/8 npt is huge, (it would be a 3/8 water pipe size)
I could be misinterpreting what you are saying, but I think you are confusing NPT with ID of the hose that comes off of it. We use the exact setup you have in every installation we do on cars and boats.

You are right Mike. I stand corrected. Should be 3/8 NPT.

Mike: Did you ever see the movie "Groundhog Day" ? Gregs thread reminds me of that movie. It is like an endless loop.

Just out of curiosity, one night I decided to see if I could find out whether Ole Greg is twenty nine (as he claims to be), or fourteen (as he would seem to be), or maybe eight.
Well, I "googled" him. I'll be dipped if there isn't a guy in Seattle named Greg Bowne, and danged if he isn't ......... TWENTY NINE!
I guess I should apologize to him, but I think I'll just let things be.
