international pickup
hey guys , i am trying to figure out what year truck i am trying to purchase for years. its been sitting at my grandfathers farm . it is actually not a farm truck . it is a street rod from the late seventies early eighties. the problem is the owner doesnt want to sell butt he will just let this poor thing just sit and rot. the truck itself is awesome . if you guys have any pics of and international trucks im guessing its from the 40's but i cant be sure. the cab and fenders have that unique curves. the grill is slotted almost like the 41 willys. any help or pictures would be appreciated. thanks"IT'S 106 MILES TO CHICAGO , WE GOT A FULL TANK OF GAS , HALF A PACK OF CIGARETTES, ITS DARK, AND WERE WEARING SUNGLASSES"

Here's an index page for a lot of pics. Scroll down to the International, the numbers are the decade. So if you're guessing right, click the 40 and you'll see the trucks from the '40's, if they look too new, try the '30's; http://www.carnut.com/photo/list/flist.htmlYour Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

IH was always old fashioned. My father in law has a beastly old IH pickup. I guessed it was late 50s, but is a 68!
i told him i want it if he should ever part with it. Hopefully I have better luck than you are so far.
try here and see if there is a pic of a truck like the one you're after

Cool, a 39 International. Those trucks were gnarly straight from the factory. Would make for an interesting rod.Right engine, Wrong Wheels
