my BEAST is finally on all 4 tires

its a 1948 chevy 1 ton school bus, based on a panel truck. its rolling on a stretched s10 frame w/a 9inch rearend. the power plant is going to be a 1977 425/400turbo caddy combo. right now w/o the power plant & floor in it it sits about 8 inches in the front & 11 inches in the rear off the ground, which believe or not means this truck has been dropped a total of 20 inches so far from the stock height and i'm sure it will drop just a tad more wants its all together. i am going to build a seat that will fold down into the floor like in the late model burbs back seat just incase someone "HAS" to ride with us, along w/a trunk in the rear floor to hide my BIGG ass ugly spare tire, a longggggggg mileage fuel cell can we say 50 gallon saddle tank & of course we can forget the "tunes". i have a 4 channel output yamaha stereo that will have 4 100watt amps hooked up to it running through boston acoustics speakers. hell all i know is the last time i heard that stereo play, it was in our 40 chevy playing Pink Floyds "Dark Side of the Moon" (the tape is still in the stereo too) & it was turned up just about all the way. hell yea nothing better then listening to mind altering, heavy duty rock n roll while having fun driving your street rod.....yeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaa. soooo hopefully it will awaken sometime this summer for its first ride in over 33yrs......joe

How about painting it Chrome yellow, the color of all true school buses, it was changed from some orange color but it changed to what it is today. School bus color information provided by " Monster Garage".

Or a color blind man. A friend of mine thought he was buying grey shirts, but he was told by his wife that they were pink.

Well we all have our own oppinions don't we? I think they look pretty good on certain things. I don't care for them on cars or 60's-70's trucks like I see a lot, look's ugly to me. Some older 30's Ford trucks that are too tall and boxy look good with a little chop top but too much. I thought that he might put a bit of a chop top on it because I normally see people slamming those as low as they can go and then putting a little bit of a chop on it to give it that lower look. I don't know, good looking car, bus, whatever it is anyways.

Too many to count, that is a sweet start. You have chopped that baby to the ground! Looking good man, it's always sweet to see it on the wheels, very well done.

As far as chopping, old school fifty's rides sometimes look good chopped but I preferr not.

Well if anything you could section it, but even then, I would rather see it left pretty well as it is(body wise). But then I don't like chop tops too much.
