59' Cadillac
Does anyone have any pics of any of these fixed up? What's your oppinions on this?
http://adcache.collectorcartraderonl...6/73049236.htm
I am thinking about going to look at this. I have had my eye on it for a little bit but not sure, it's a bit out of my price range but this thing has been on here for a long time so probably could talk the guy down a lot. I am in no hurry here and might just go look at it or something.
Let me know what you think and any pics would be great.
Thanks.www.streamlineautocare.com

Haha, well there streets, the truck I drive right now is about 4 feet longer than that thing. Also yeah I saw that with the price and I will bring that up. Before I do anything I am calling the guy tomarrow asking if it's got interior, why it doesn't run, does the trailor come with it (I am sure it does or at least should if it don't run and I aint using my trailor), where the rust is at, etc etc.... got any other questions I should ask? Oh yeah also the title too.
I like those cars, I won't do nothing but leave it stock probably and drop it a tad bit and leave it at that but make her look pretty. lol Maybe a black or a Pearl White or something and some big whitewalled tires? Heh, I will have to see first. I am not getting my hopes up yet. But yeah that redneck want's way too much for it, look at the thing, it's screwed up right now and it's RED..... I can't stand red, that's one thing that WON't be original is the color... Pink would be cool haha, just messing.www.streamlineautocare.com

Well see, that Cadi would be nice to have fixed up. Not like you see many of those drivin around every day. I do like that Merc a bit, but more into the 30's-50's cars and trucks. I thought that just for now that Cadi would be nice and wait until I move and get something I really wan't and fix it up for the drag strip. That Cadi won't be very fast down a strip, lol but would be something nice to drive around on. But like I said, I will have too see how low the guy will go and see what needs to be done. If there is no interior, the engine is completely messed up, tons of rust, etc then I will say no. If it's just a little rust, a little tune up and a few parts here and there and alright interior then I might look into it. I am not offering no 5,000 dollar range though that's for sure. Maybe 3,500 or 4,000. I'll just be like "look here, the car was 5,580 brand new, the thing doesn't run, there's rust, blah blah blah, it ain't worth more than this". I have seen this in the ad for a while (longer than I normally see these things in here for) so there must be something wrong with it or it's just not selling because of the price and I will definetely bring that up. I wan't to see what engine it has in it. Thanks for those links too.... I will look at them in a bit.www.streamlineautocare.com

If it still has the original tri power intake and carbs it might be worth it to fix it up and make it nice. Don't buy it at his price, buy it at your price. Personally I wouldn't get it if it wasn't your rod of choice. That's a lot of money to spend on something you don't really want.º¿º>^. .^<

Got Fins? Yeah!!
If you read the ad it says it has a white leather interior and very little rust. I seriously doubt if he is including the trailer. Those are neat cars and would be a great cruiser for you and your gal. Get her to do her hair up in a nice boufant do and sit over right next to ya.
Get it, slam it a little, drop a 472 or 500 in her with a turbo 400 and you would have a neat and uncommon car that would move right down the road.
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Yeah man, slam it is right. I really like those car's and would be something I wan't. I wan't either a crusing kind of car (that's wht that would be) or a car for street and the drag strip. I didn't think flames would look good on one but I guess they do. A gloss black with metallic blue flames would look sweet! I am going to call him later today, so can anyone give me some questions I might forget to ask please? I really like those cars.... better than a 55 or 57 chevy I think, in a way.www.streamlineautocare.com

I've been thinking of doing this to a 59. im still looking for a good donor car, however the more i look at the 59 rag, the more i like it just as is. So lately i've been leaning towards keeping the 59 stock and doing a 60 street rod. Here's a nice one on e-bay

Yeah I like them stock as well. That Kenwood one is a little too much and I would like to keep wide whitewalls and drop it a bit more and just clean it up, clean up all the chrome, take the engine out and krylon paint it and put nice vavle covers and everything on... What are some questions I should ask this guy?www.streamlineautocare.com

Ask him about the rust, also any other body or frame damage. Those are the biggies. I would not worry too much about the drive train if you plan to change it anyway. Ask him how he got it, and why he's selling it. You may get a line of BS but it still never hurts to ask. Ask if he has any extra parts. Ask about a title and who the previous owners were.
Are you close enough to go look at the car? If so, take another disinterested person with you who can look it without any emotion or facination.
Good luck

I will take my dad with me.... He is very picky with a car and good at talking people down. He talked down a guy trying to sell a Malibu 4 door from 5,500 to 3,000 and the car was really nice for a 4 door.... No rust was on it at all, a really nice clean 350 and drove really nice, the bumpers and everything were not pitted, all was nice. We never got it, I talked him out of not getting it because of 4 door. It wouldn't have been mine anyways but still. Thanks I almost forgot the title question.... I am going to call the guy in a couple minutes. If I hear good things then I will go look at it tomarrow or Monday.www.streamlineautocare.com
