2500 miles seems a little short for an oil change, but its still cool. Nice car, and welcome to the club.

    dot,
I'm sure many will be most appreciative of your acknowledgement. Far too many folks come to this site with a "feed me, feed me" agenda. They get their info, problem solved, and then move on. While that's certainly their right, many here would just like a little common courtesy. So again, thanks for your thanks, you're a good man.

As for your drain interval, if I'm reading it right, I would have preferred to see a 500 mile initial drain interval on a fresh engine. Lots of "stuff" can slough that first time through. You'll probably be okay, just that I like to be extra careful on a fresh engine. After that, if you're doing typical stop and go city driving, 3k is quite satisfactory.

Great looking car! Congrats on the succesful rebuild. If you are like me, 2500 miles is probably your annual oil change.

And I'll echo Bob's thanks for the thanks. With your new gained experience I am sure you will be able to help others out in the future.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Nice looking 57. I'll go along with the 2500 miles between oil changes but I take it to 3000 and haven't had any problems.
Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

Nice man, that is a really good looking car. I got a friend that has one of those (barely ever drives the thing) and I love those cars. I see a couple of those around here with the same color combo you got there with the red and white. When I was a little kid (about 6 or 7-now) I have always loved 55 and especially 57's. I have always wanted one of those things with all digital odometeres, etc inside. Do you have any pictures of the interior and the engine?
