    It's no rod, but a street machine.

    A mate of mine has a 1979 Ford Falcon, & it was sittin on it's guts, he just had cut coils, and shorter bump stops, the rear springs were reset, with an extra spring added. The front bumper/splash guard was a little under 3" from the ground, the cross member about 2" and the lowest point was about 1 3/8" off the ground, it often left its mark on driveways, and speed bumps.

    I think the cross member even hit the road, on the hi-way once...

    Not Ideal but it looks mighty fine.

    My Falcon has heavy duty shorter coils in the front, with short stroke heavy duty shocks, with reset leaves and an extra one in the back. I've done many kays with this. Granted it's not low enuff

    With leaf springs reversing eye's can get an inch or two.

    Thats without doing all that everyone else has suggested.
