Well its off now and in pretty bad shape(the lid to the cab) this could be a turnin point!Atleat dave severson will be happy someones cuttin sumthin up!may turn custom from here on out not sure what do u guys think?? lots of work from my stand point to just get it back to normal, just as much work to go custom now.SO c u t it up? and go custom or replace the top original ?by the way theres no agenda on this ride, like a novice welder gets an old chunk of steel to practice, thats what i got here, my first chunk of steel.(ps) look at my pics got some of the roof off, looks pretty sad

That top was a big part of the cab's stability. you are going to have to weld in some stabilizers to connect the back of the cab to, and tie them all togather before you put it back togather.
Also- you might as well chop it & rake it...lol- Good Luck & keep us posted....

Do what you feel is best. If you wan't it custom and like it to be chopped then go ahead and do it. It is all personal preference. The 66's don't look too bad with a tiny chop but I wouldn't go too much at all. Do what you like best though because it's all personal preference. A lot of people will tell you different things, some will say chop it, some will say leave it and other will say what I did or some people that have lost it will say something that you don't even understand and that happens a lot around here. hah.

If you wan't something done right, then you have to do it yourself!

Hmmmmm. Probably not even necessary for me to say what direction I would go on it!!! Kustoms are Kewl, restoring is boring.
