If you want a good, "clean", yellow that'll hurt your retinas go with straight toner.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Metal work is what makes the car, HW. Keep dinging and pinging, looks great so far. I'm lousy on colors, when I get a car to that stage, I have a body guy I really trust. Next one for me that's ready to paint I'm gonna show him the fabric color for the interior and tell him to call me when it's done. Otherwise mine usually wind up red, blue, or purple. For over thirty years, almost all of my bikes, trikes, etc. were black and/or purple . For the '56 Plymouth gasser-style 2dr I'm building, I'm going with retina-searing yellow w/yellow pearl flames. I'm sure nobody who knows me will believe it until they see it, including my better half. Actually, I won't even know for sure what it'll look like until it comes out of the booth. I have a habit of completely changing my mind as soon as I get a roll of tape in my mitts. I've walked into the booth with dark brown metallic and a red powdered pearl, and ended up with a purple bike LOL. It'll definitely be interesting to see if I can shed my "dark" side.
As for the coupe, how about the newer orange mica colors? I'm into painting a car a color where I won't see myself coming all the time, and there are a whole lot of yellow/red/black/ blue coupes around. But hey, that's me, and it's YOUR CAR!!!! do what you like, 'cause you may not get the chance to do it again. Just my $.025No, if you were me, you'd do it just like I did.

HWORRELL If your look'n for opinions I think that color yellow with some flames would look awsome.
