Also new chassis was stretched a bit so it's now 109 inch wheelbase (sposed ta give a better ride) and it allowed me to run a flat firewall for leg room instead of the wheelbarrow firewall, body was channelled 5 inches, ( still got head room for my 5' 9" self )

Thanks for the pictures, that's an incredible amount of work. I promised pictures of my roadster but not yet, it is still just a frame without wheels and an engine. Most of the effort this summer has been on the engine, a very mild, almost stock 350 and a simple TH350 with a Maverick 8" rear. I/m not going to show a picture until I get wheels and the engine in the chassis but I am slowly working on it. What about your dash, will you retain the inner part of the old gas tank or just use a new peice?

Well Spraytech, everywhere I went fore I tore it down everybody would holler "Hey Millner" So I was thinkin orange, but the wife thinks a soft yellow, and I'm buddies with Bob Galbreth of Newport Engineering and he just painted 1 of his display cowls
" meadow yellow" and is pretty happy with it ,so after sifferin on it, it wouldn't be to bad to be identified with Ole Millner,
Would it ???? Besides a coupe looks good yellow, So Me thinks some sort of a soft yellow, and a buckskin or pewter interior, It'll be a while fore I gotta look at clolor chips ( I meant the wife hasta look at color chips...LOL) and once I do get the metal work done someone else'll hafta do the final stages, cuzz I just don't have the skills for that (Thank God for the Brother in Law that owns a major Body shop)

Don the old gas tank is gone just the original cowl remains, I am going to use the original upper part of the dash board
And the lower portion was hand made with black tuck & roll cover, looked pretty good and sumthin similar will be utilized. I know what ya meen, my kids would look at this thing a few months ago and would say it looked like sumthin drug home from the scrap yard, I got so tired of doin metal work on the body that I just quit that and concentrated on the chassis/drivetrain, painted the chassis with por15,then squirted it with 2003 Yukon Pewter, so it's done and gotta go back ta work on the body (UGGGGGHHHHHHH) Gonna be a long Fall & Winter...

Just dont pick a color between Piss Yellow and Puke Green ...............LOL
The good thing with a deuce is any color looks good !!
I dont know if you want a bright yellow , but VW has a Screaming Bright Yellow they had in the 70's. I painted a Minx Manx dune buggy in it and man that thing was just hurt your eyes bright, but sure looked good . He used all black interior and black accents to really set it off.
I can get the color chip # if you want to take a peek at it

I think that there are lots of different colors that would look great on your coupe...Black, Lime green, orange, purple, and yellow (not all together)....
I wouldn't think it would be a bad thing to be mistaken for Milner...HE'S SO BOSS!!!! (swoon)(sigh)

SprayTech,
I would be interested in the VW yellow. My grandaughter requested a yellow roadster and I was thinking about the yellow from the '77 Z28, but it is a bit pale. I like the kind of color that makes your eyes tired. My personal favorite is Aztec Red from the old Caddy El Dorado, but my wife can't stand it so if my grandaughter requests yellow I will be able to use that. Maybe you can post it for all to see or send it me at my e-mail? Anyway I can look it up in the VW records.
