    Question Gallery Pics...How To?

OK, I admit...i'm somewhat computer impaired...but I can't figure out how the heck to post my photos in the Gallery! The link says "Submit your Photos!" but when I get to the gallery i'm lost...anyone willing to tutor me a bit? So far I haven't found a thing in the FAQ section etc either. I'm sure it's somethin REAL simple that i'm missing...

It's been a long time since I did my first upload, but I think this should work.

Once you're on the upload page, the third box down has a browse button. Click that and you will get a pop up window listing your hard drive. Go to the file where you keep your pics and double click the one you want to put in the gallery. If it's too big it'll tell ya when ya try to upload it and you'll have to shrink it.

Then go down a couple boxes and put in a title, then down a couple more and write in a story in the description box. Then hit upload! TADA!!

    Lightbulb Any other bright idears?

I'm not havin trouble uploading photos...i've been able to do that on forum posts using the reply form and doing an attatchment through the "browse" window. What I can't figure out is if I click on the left side of any of the CHR pages the little box with that says "Hot Rod Gallery" it obviously takes me to the HR Gallery...but it doesn't seem to have an obvious link to start my own member gallery. TreeKiller sent me a pm with instructions that suggested clicking on the camera by my name and that got me to my gallery, but it doesn't have photos (obviously because I haven't posted any)...again there doesn't seem to be an obvious link there either to upload them. I've got to be missing something really obvious...but don't know what it is ha ha! Any other BRIGHT ideas?

Man, you can dress 'em up, send 'em to school, but....................
    I've seen your picture.....................you didn't look blonde!
And.......................oh never mind, I'll leave some shots for the others!

Glad you got it figured out.

Walt, you need a photo editing program of some kind, e.g. Photo Shop, Photo Deluxe, etc. Depending on how old your computer is, many come loaded with at least a rudimentary program like one of these if it's been built within the last 5 years or so. You might want to do a search as we've had threads before where some of the members have recommended free share files available on the web, but I haven't kept that info.

    Thumbs up Photo Editor

I have been using a freeware product called Infranview. It works just great and, it's free! You can do a Google search to find it or down load it from here:

    http://downloads-zdnet.com.com/3000-2192-10021962.html

Once you have it, open your picture. To resize your pictures go to the "Image" menu and select Resize/Resample. Really simple to use and quite powerful.

Someone at CHR point me to it, but don't recall who it was

    Pat
Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
