It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Any fool should be able to make a street rod with loads of money. But it takes dedication to build a kool kar with no money.Keep Kool

Just because your car is not appealing to the eye of another dose not make it un safe but it ts easer for some to wright you off than to ligitimite your rite to be free in your own presonality.Keep Kool

A period correct rod with a glass body (OXY MORRON) they make enough patch panels now that all you need is an upper half of a early ford a or b to make a body if you don"t have the time or dedication to build a real car than build a red glass kit car or order one from 1 800 red rods . but please do not do the real history of rodding or yourself an injustace of painting fake rust or patina on a glass bodyKeep Kool

BITE ME..........
Hey there Bottomfeeder There's nothing wrong with glass bodys. Not everyone thats into cars can find an original body or buy a repo-metal body. or have the knowledge, tools or skill to do major bodywork on a body found in a field, or wherever. Or even be able to afford to buy ether one. Besides....those repo-metal bodys are way over priced, Hell, even some glass-bodys are over priced. But at least with a glass body, or even a kit car is better than being without one. There's a lot of folks out there that can only afford model cars to build. But I give them credit, cuz there head and heart is in the right place. In fact....they have the same problem. Some can afford to buy die-cast cars and some can only afford plastic kits. But in the long run, you end up in the same place, whether it's a glass body or metal body you both made it to the same rod run or cruise, and are haveing the same amount of fun and pride in their ride. So I don't need some 'CHUCKLEHEAD' telling me that if it an't metal, it an't 'S%IT'.

I agree that glass bodys have a secondary place in the hobbie but in my opinion a steel body will always win my heart . When some say that you can go to a run if your ride is pre 49 but stay out if you drive a 49 and a glass duce gets in it is not rite. Been there done that. This hobbie should not seperate its own but money corrupts and pure of heart dose not matter to some because if your car is not like thiers it must be bad.Keep Kool

sorry about the glass thing but I think the same about the steel repro bodies if a good rod body is not affordable try a newer car and have fun maybe even a 4 door .Keep Kool

Oh I agree with the money thing............But not with the supreamacy of metal bodys. There's just about as much work in a glass body as a metal one. And if the glass body is done right, you cannot tell the diffrence. I've seen many high-dollar pro-builders who could not tell the diffrence. What about the guy who has a metal body but glass fenders, hood, and trunk. What class are you going to put him in.

Be real!!! A glass car takes a lot of work to get right!!! In many cases more work than a steel car!!! What the heck does it possibly matter if the body is steel, glass, kevlar, or composites??? If all your looking at is the body, your missing out on the many, many other things it takes to build a rod.
I do agree with the pre-49 stuff, though I can understand it sometimes has to be done to limit the size of the event to fit the faility where it is being held.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
