And you know what, I still am perceived that way by most people over the age of 55 - don't worry about it so much, I think they are all scared of us "young pups" growing up so they feel they have to try to keep us down, and they use the word respect as a whipping stick to make us feel inferior. Don't let it bother you so much cause they'll all die soon and we will be the "know-it-alls!" and then we all will have to remember how we were treated and give the young uns the respect they deserve!!!!!
HEHEHEHEHEHEHE Print this out and mothball it for about 30 years. When you read it then you will laugh at yourself, I guarantee it. I was saying the EXACT same thing at your age. And I felt EXACTLY like you do. (one editors note here: I take that back. Even when I was young I NEVER disrespected older people, even if I disagreed with them. Maybe cuz' there would be hell to pay if I did.) And no matter how much we try to explain it you will NEVER understand until your older. You think you won't change right? HEHEHEHEHEHEHE. It's just the natural progression of life. Like it or not ............. as sure as your hearing, vision, reaction time (And a few other things) will change .......... so will your attitude. and the beauty of it is you won't even know it. Some day down the road, you'll jut wake up to the fact that you've grown up. And the only way you will realize you HAVE grown up is to look back on your life and ONLY THEN will you understand what we are saying.
I think kids are ignorant by design. If they knew ahead of time what experiences are ahead of them to get to maturity it might just scare the beegeebeez out of em'.

And contrary to what you may think, this isn't a knock against you ......... it's just life. When we were your age it was drilled into our heads to respect our elders. That's a foreign concept today. Once you learn respect you will be wise beyond your years. If you don't think that's true, you've just proven my point.

Note to self: Save this file : Young people who know it all: . Copy and paste as necessary. Aptly applies to young people universally. It's human nature at work.

"PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.
"LIVE" your life like you could die tomorrow.
