you can find all the glass for the car except the vent windows. you can go to a glass shop and they can do that. if you like tint great they got that but if not you can peel it off.

Ok I just tried the site and it doesn't seem to work. Says, "Cannot find server." I guess I will just keep looking or try it again later this week or something.

Ok cool thanks a lot! What about any parts for a 48 Chevy Coupe? Well the guy said it's a coupe but anyways, I need to find floor pans, the back wheel panels and that's about it for now. Reason I ask is because today me and my dad wen't and looked at a 48 Chevy that a friend from church is selling and I am going to buy it but need to find out how much it will cost to get all new flooring, rocker arms ( I think that's the name for the siding on the bottom below the doors) and front and rear fenders on both sides. I have been trying to look for them for a 48 but cannot find anything. Any help on this is appreciated as well. Thanks.

www.chevsofthe40s.com has all the parts. If it's a 2dr it's a coupe. Rocker panals you mean, that site has them, about 45.00 for them for my car from that site so It'd be in that range. rear fenders and front fenders are not sold new, junkyard finds there. back wheel panals are 1/4 panals, they should be available from the site I gave you as will the floor pans.

car should have a 216 6cyl w/ 3spd but a 350 would go in with some suspension mods and moving of the steering box over and getting new tranny and rear end, say th350 and a gen 2 camero rear end should fit right in.

Thanks Matt. No engine and tranny in this thing. It's a 2 door coupe yes. I might buy a friends newly build 383 Stroker and throw a 350 in it or 400 turbo tranny. I was thinking about a Ford 9 inch rear end or something I don't know about that but the whole front end and all is from a 79 Z28 Camaro. Matt do you have AIM or Hotmail or anything like that? I got a few questions for you if that's ok... Let me know man.

being it's arleady got a new front end, it'll be even easier for a sbc to go in and if it has the rear end from the '79 camaro, that's good too. I see a lot of people putting gen 2 camaro rear ends in old chevys cause they fit right in with little trouble. A ford 9" is a good rear end but if it does arleady have a camaro rear end installed, what's the sense, hard work is done for you and it would take the pounding from a 383, a good set of 3.73 gears and a posi lock would do nicely.

The rear end is stock still which sucks. The front end is the 79. I will have to see how much I can find a good 9inch rear end and all. I have been looking around a ton for the floor boards, a good gas tank, steering colimn and everythign for the steering, headlights, tail lights, radiator, brakes, etc. The front end has disk brakes and all. I have been looking for hours for all this stuff and more and it get's so damn confusing to try and price everything up. I got the money to get the car but I am not just pricing it up to see if it's worth getting or not. Do you got any ideas on what to do with the brakes, where to get them and the things I mentioned. Oh one more thing. I found the front windshield for the 57 it's like over 500 bucks. Pretty expensive but I don't even know if the guy want's to sell it or not so there is nothing to do with that car until I find that out. I will have more info on the 57 on Friday so right now I am just trying to figure everything out for the 48. Yeah I know I sound like I am going a little over my head here with me naming all these damn cars I wan't, lol but it is taking me forever and I am not going to just go out and buy any car I see without going over it and all...
Alright well thanks everyone that helped so far.

See, FMX, that's why I told you the 57 in Montgomery was a lot better deal. I'd bet the rear window would not be much cheaper. Sounds like the 48 might be a better deal for you.

    Keep us informed.

Yeah man. I will see what I can do. The 57 doesn't need much work if the engine runs. The engine looks all clean and new air filter on it (really small filter) But all the 57 needs is new floors, new seats in the front, windows and new headlight.

Yeah that's true 55. Well today I found out that the guy that owns the shop doesn't own the car but he gave me the number to who does own it and said the guy will probably sell it. Reason the windows are busted out is because it was sitting at another shop for a while and some kids came and shot them all out. Also the guy that owns the shop has a 53 chevy truck and I talked to the old guy and he is real cool and knows I am looking for a vehicle and said that he wants to get rid of the truck and he will take 800 which is REALLY cheap for how in good shape it's in. All it needs is a new bed and that's it so tomarrow I am going to buy the truck for SURE. I am going to chop top it 3 1/2 inches too. Anyone know where I can get a bed for the truck at? I cannot find one used so I am trying to see if they make them anywhere on the net. For a while until I get money I am going to run it with no bed. Now that I am getting this thing I am going to have to decide between the 57 and the 48 coupe. If the guy sells the 57 for real cheap then I am going to maybe get it instead but it all depends so those two cars are on hold for now so right now I need some more info on the truck and where I can find the bed and front fenders for it. Thanks again for any help.
