Deciding between a bug and an A-bone would take me, oh, let's say, about .00000002 NANOSECONDS.
Jim,
Ben there, done it. You're in for a LOT of fun, a lot of work, and a few nights beating your head on the wall of your shop.
Nice to start with real tin, though.

Very nice metal! The chop is already done, but why do people fill in the roof when they could put green plexiglass in the hole and have a waterproof roadster? I guess the top hole is already filled in from the look of it. Good luck, it looks like great material for an all-weather rod!

That was quick . . .
What've you got for suspension in the front? Split bones & leaf or coilovers? How about the back? Nice looking start - and I thought mine was low. Limbo, anyone?
Clue us in on your overall concept.Jack

the suspension is all transverse springs.
The front is split wishbones, with the spring mounted to the bones. The rear is all model A, attached to a 49 merc rearend and a set of hairpins.
