Trade/sell: 57' olds, Ohio
I'm looking for a 1928-1934 Ford Coupe or Tudor rod project.
I would be willing to trade my 1957 oldsmobile for the right one.
The 1957 Olds is a Oldsmobile Holiday 98. 4dr. Power steering, power brakes, power windows, power antenna, power seat, autotronic eye, etc. I have installed a 1969 Olds 455 rocket engine. and TH400 tranny. Battery relocatedto trunk. No rust, extremely solid. garaged most of it's life. 90,000 original miles on body and suspension. Converted over to Alternator from generator.
The engine has under 100 miles on a fresh rebuild. It was bored to 461ci. SpeedPro skirt coated pistons and rings, crane rockers, edelbrock aluminum intake, edelbrock cam and lifters, melling HV oil pump, C heads w/ fresh grind, springs, and seals, new HV water pump, Holley 770cfm street avenger carb. HV fuel pump. Rebuilt dizzy, Accel 8mm plug wires, K&N air filter. Estimating 425+HP
Tranny has B&M shift Kit.
Car has aluminum racing radiator, 3000cfm electric fan, Hayes tranny cooler.
It's rose and white in color and paint is getting a bit dull. The interior is there and complete, but starting to look tired. I have new carpet for it, but it is not yet installed.
This car would be tough with a new paint job and some lake pipes. Have fender skirts for it also. It would make one hell of a fast Kustom Kruiser, street pounder. I've got nearly $11K invested.
The above can be seen in Columbus, OH at my residence. I have many pictures of both, feel free to email me with questions or trade offers. hotrodderguy@yahoo.comLast edited by johnny knuckles; 02-16-2005 at 01:06 PM.

Olds price
I am in a car club, so I really need to have something around, and I'm not that inclined to just selling it outright, but since I realize that cash usually talks better than trades in most situations, I think I would sell it for what I've got into it which is $10700. At least at this point. I would consider selling the car minus the engine and tranny for $8000. But if you ask me it's the engine that makes it all worth it. If I really start looking hard and see something on the horizon as far as a new project, I'd consider dropping the price. I know the price sounds high, but that is what I have in it and even NADA.com shows the "average price" to be over $13K. Even though it's not the original engine, I would think that it would be in the "average" range. If you think you have an offer we could live with don't be afraid to say it. You never know.
Keep in mind, the paint is getting dull and the interior needs a freshening up. I have a few more plans for it coming up this spring if it's still around. It will get a new stereo w/ CD changer, the fender skirts will go on, a fresh coat of paint and some lake pipes. And I'm going to start with getting the interior is shape. I hope to have it done by late April early May.

BTW- Thanks for the compliment
also- since that engine picture was taken, I bypassed the heater core. So that ugly ass red hose isn't there anymore.Last edited by johnny knuckles; 02-14-2005 at 06:21 AM.
