1980 Jeep CJ7 for trade
I have a 1980 Jeep CJ7 for trade for a project car. The jeep is in great condition. 258 straight 6, full soft top with 33 in tires. It has a 8,000 # winch and too many new parts to list. On a scale of 1-10 this Jeep is an 8. The Jeep is worth $5,000.00. I am tardeing it because if I sell it, the wife will take all the $$ and thats it for me and my toys for at least two years. If your interested you can e-mail me at ltcvorachek@earthlink.net I even have a 1989 GMC Jimmy to add to the deal if need be. I am in Charleston SC and will travel. I did try and place a pic on here but they are too big for the size alowed. If you want send me your E-mail and I will send it. Thanks! Or click this link. I think it will let you see three pictures the "outlaw 4X4" on the hood is decals http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/billtr...1997/my_photosLast edited by Huntersbo; 01-05-2005 at 07:49 PM.

A few questions on the 258. 1) what transmission is behind it? the manual trannies have an odd tendancy to strip gears. Also, have you replaced the factory valve cover? Due to the fact that most of them are Plastic, they tend to warp, leak and never seal again. Finally, is the factory carb still on the 258? The carters that come on AMCs have a history of high idle, flooding and running rich. Answer these, and we'll talkRight engine, Wrong Wheels

Ok, first off the Jeep is in GREAT condition. I took my wife that was 9 months pregnate on a ride for about 200 miles so I feel it is dependable. The valve cover is metal, the transmission is in perfect order except the clutch will need to be replaced some time in the future, not soon but later. The carb is less than 8 months old and runs fine. I have reciepts for all the new items like the radiator, fuel tank, carb, brake lines, calipers, master cylinder, tie rod ends and drag links etc. I have new shoulder seat belts but they are in the box still. The only thing keeping the jeep from being a 10 is I broke the steering column because I lost the #@^%%$ keys and had to get home so I hot wired it and the steering gear box has a very very small leak. It has power steering. ok? Let me know ltcvorachek@earthlink.net I am not a good car sales man because I dont BS about cars I sell. I have a 8 month old Daughter and I figure if I buy a car that someone lied to me about and we had an accident or got stranded, that wouldn't be cool so I assume others have children as well.
