"Rat Patrol" Volksrod for sale in CA
May not be everyones idea of the perfect rod, but this is one seriously sweet rod. Built by a team of folks under the direction of an old hot rod builder, & a damn ingenious one at that.
$13K takes her home

I HATE bein poor, damnit! :PI dig ALL cars, old & new, whether they were hammered out of american iron, German steel, or Japanese tin cans. Being unable to appreciate them all is missing out on a world of great things.
But thats just my opinion.

It's a whole lot of car for the money! Look at the quality of work that went into building it & how much of it is actual hand fabricated, 13K is less than reasonable.
I think the only reason he doesnt ask for more is people have a problem forkin over that much for a VW,...I dig ALL cars, old & new, whether they were hammered out of american iron, German steel, or Japanese tin cans. Being unable to appreciate them all is missing out on a world of great things.
But thats just my opinion.

411..........
I had spoke to the original owner and one of the builders about a year and a half ago.... when he was selling it. He was a very nice guy and very honest. I was very interisted in buying it. It's a awsum looking little hotrod, and I really liked their designing and proportioning of it. But he said that it really was'nt pratical for any distance. It was very uncomfortable, noisey, ruff rideing, and hot.
But it did look good.
And I don't alway's belive in being pratical....... where's the fun in that!!!!If I go to sleep........The clown's will eat me!!
Hmmmm.......24 hour's in a day......24 beer's in a case. Coincidence?..... I think not!.
