Trade for my 1940 Plymouth Coupe???
Hello Everyone. My name is Jeff from the Philly area, and I am new to ClubHotRod.com
A few months ago, I traded an oldtimer around my way a chopper and trailer of mine straight up for a 1950 Ford F-1 and a 1940 Plymouth Coupe.
I already have a 1949 Chrysler Desoto and the 1950 Ford F-1 is my current pet project ( I LOVE THIS TRUCK). I am basically out of TIME and ROOM to finish this almost finished 1940 Plymouth Coupe. The guy I traded did ALL the work from the ground up on this car. I have pictures of the BUILD PROCESS, and I will post more when I go to the garage it is being stored at and take new pix.
Here is the scoop on the 1940 Plymouth Coupe..
* 402 Big Block
* 350 Trans AOD
* 4.88 Rear, I do believe
* Interior COMPLETELY NEW
* All glass tinted, wrapped and ready to be installed (except windshield)
* Wired to run, but gauges do need to be wired
* Body was bare steel all but in 2 small places...All grey primer ready to paint now
* New floor, firewall, and trunk
The guy put over $28,000 into the car. Its just about finished. Im not really looking at the price value. Im just looking to entertain offers for a trade that is fair. Im looking to get a reliable clean runner that I can surprise my wife with. If I take a loss on the 40 Coupe, Im not concerned. Im not really looking to make a buck, just to make my wife smile, because hotrods are a blast to her and I. Im open to any and all offers, provided they are reasonable.

There is one of our clubmates that has a '69 chevell SS pro-street, built 396, automatic, tubbed, new tires, new paint, new interior, all chromed out engine. This car has won many trophys over the last 2 years, he is wanting to get a street rod and is interested in trading someone straight across. I can hook you up if your interested."Sunshine, a street rod and a winding beautiful Ozarks road is truely Bliss!"
