    Talking Poor man's Vette

1978 Datsun 280Z. 5-speed trans, a/c, p/s, p/b. Body & interior decent, runs okay, everything works. Drive as is or convert to small block Chevy power. Includes Scarab bell housing for sbc conversion, Hurst Competition Plus adapted for Muncie 4-speed installation, special headers & drive shaft for sbc conversion, and installation manual for transplanting a 350 Chevy engine into the 280Z body. I built one of these in the 80s - it was cheap and easy to build and it really hauled ass. Looks stock from the outside, but at 2,600 pounds with V8 power it surprised the hell out of a lot of hot rods. Asking $1,500, located near Reno, NV.

I'd rather be in my garage. . .
