48 Chevy 5 window Pickup
I have way too many cars and projects(35) so it is time to see if I can sell a couple.
48 chevy 5 window pick up...Deluxe with the chrome around all the windows.
-All the hard work is done. 81 Chevy pick up front suspension bolted on with no cutting or welding (yes it bolts right on)..So the truck has Power Steering and Disk Brakes..Converted to five lug large bolt pattern Chevrolet. It also has the large front sway bar and intense sway bar on back from 69 chevrolet bread truck. Rear axle is also late model 5 lug...355 gears....Seat from late model Dakota..with Fold down armrest...Fits perfectly...Floor shift tilt out of 70's gm car (monza?)
-New Painless wiring for truck
-New Oak Bed Kit
-5 speed from late model Camaro
-Rebuilt 292 Punched out with 9:1 pistons..Head shaved with oversize valves, Stiffer Valve springs. ported polished, balanced and blueprinted.
- Clifford performance camshaft...270 duration
Was building this to be a fun highway crusier...With the 5th gear from the Camaro being .74....The final drive with the .355 rear axle would be .262! So fuel economy and highway cruising would be a snap.
The truck needs to have about $1400 worth of new Chrome
-Inside and outside door handles
-Bumpers
-Grille
-Chains
-License plate bracket
-Head light rings
-Tail lights
Need to buy the clifford aluminum 4 barrel intake and carb...Along with the headers...No exhaust...I do have new turbo mufflers in Box...
All suspension parts have been replaced...Ball Joints, Shocks, Bushings..Frame has been Blasted and painted...Looks awesome.
A lot of work has gone into this truck....But make no mistake it needs alot more.
Body is almost 100% rust free...Doors and front clip are mint...Rear fenders have one hole the size of a dime...Bed rails and Running boards are perfect...I would replace the headboard... the tailgate is nice.
Chrome inside the cab is near perfect and looks great...Dash is unmolested and looks like new! Truck does not need cab corners or floor pans.
Paint the truck and buy the chrome and you would have an awesome rod...
The motor will be about 320 horsepower...Run on pump gas and cruise 2000 RPM at 70 miles per hour.
I have a complete a/c unit minus the dash unit for the truck also. all the brackets and hoses off a late model 6 cylinder chevy truck so I know they are the correct application!
As I said I have a fair bit of time and effort into this one...But I want to finish my drag car and the 56 chevrolet I am working on....so something has to go.
$7500
