    1956 Plymouth Belvedere For Sale

I hate to do this, but my Plymouth is up for sale. I've been wanting a coupe, and have found one I really want. The Plymouth is a '56 Belvedere 2dr sedan, running, titled, ready to go anywhere. I drove it to Joplin, made a bunch of passes at the HAMB Drags, drove it home without a hitch. It has a newly-rebuilt 440 with a 727 Torqueflite, 2.92 gears and a Dana/Spicer limited slip in a 8 1/4 Aspen rearend. There is a new aluminum dual-pass radiator and no cooling issues. The 440 has an aluminum intake/650 Edelbrock, Aero heads from Indy Head Service, and homemade fenderwell headers. The whole front clip came from a 1978 Chrysler New Yorker. The car rides great! The body is pretty good, and the rear wheelwells have been radiused. There is rust in the rocker panels, and I have new replacements for them, need welded on. There's a little rust in the trunk, but not much. 16 gallon fuel cell.
The interior is carpeted, has silver insulation on roof, bucket seats, B&M shifter, dash is very nice with stereo in glove box. All glass is good, new rubber gaskets on rear window and windshield. Have spare windshield in good condition. Here are some pics, will post more or send them to you if interest is shown.

I forgot a few things.....Comp cam similar in profile to 440/sixpak cam, Mancini electronic ignition, hi-torque mini-starter, new wiring throughout w/aftermarket fuse block. New Wilwood brake m/c, prop valve. Four-point roll cage. All new brakes, u-joints, wheel and axle bearings, etc. when built 1 year ago. Has new heater, not original, but works pretty well (with defrost). Autometer/Autogage gauges in dash in original spots. Gas-saver vacuum gauge. Radio delete plate in dash.

I might be interested in trades if it doesn't go before the coupe does...............I want 20's or 30's (maybe a 40) coupe or two door sedan that runs, doesn't have a lot of issues. My car will go anywhere, anytime, and that's what I want in something older. The price is $10K.
