1938 Ford V8 Coupe Flathead
This 1938 Ford Hot Flat Head V8 Hot Rod coupe is Red with a White and Red Interior. Having spent virtually all its life in southern California, this classic, all steel 1938 Ford Hot Rod Coupe started with a straight and rust free body. The paint is excellent and the interior appears brand new including the headliner, panels, seats and carpets with a correspondingly matched trunk. Its original steel running boards were refitted and covered in the correct rubber. The 59A engine block was balanced and blue-printed. High performance Offenhauser heads and an intake housing three two-barrel Stromberg carburetors were added. With its 3/4 cam, headers and electronic ignition this Flathead runs well.
It is fitted with its original rebuilt steering, three-speed
transmission and four-wheel hydraulic brakes. . The headlight and parking light switches still reside in the center of the steering wheel along with the horn button. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire an all-steel hot rod of high caliber. The previous owner purchased it at the RM Auction in Monterey in 2006 (Lot: 111)
