1952 Ford F7 tandem axle, 5 star cab
I had been looking for a COE when I ran across this truck, and couldn't pass it up due to being rust free. The VP of ATHS lives about 3 miles from me and says he believes it to be the only tandem axle 52 F7 in the country, as most tandem axle conversions were done on F8's. My original intent was to build a ramp/shop truck, which would require going to a single axle, and as he put it to me, it would be a shame to lose the history of this truck. With that in mind, I would like to entertain offers for trade up/down of a similar condition Ford COE, 38-47 or 51-56, or sell it outright that I may persue that route.

The body is surprisingly straight and solid, It looks to have had a single repaint. Having spent much of it's life inside a firehouse in the high desert of OR. there is no rust you'd expect to find in all the normal places for these trucks. The engine is a 279 Lincoln Y block (first year for OHV), 5 speed Clark trans, direct/over/under White auxiliary trans, and tandem Rockwell rears.
I have converted the charging system to 12v using a single wire GM alternator, the original governed distributor has been replaced with a rebuilt 292 unit, new oil pump with hex distributor shaft. The water pump has been rebuilt and the radiator has been recored to the tune of $600. I also have a 1957 368 Lincoln Y block that I intended to install for a bit more HP.

The truck has air brakes and an engine mounted air compressor. I am the second owner, the original being a fire dept in the mountains NW of Bend OR.
I do have access to retired school buses (for frames and drivetrains), so any offer of a COE trade need not have a chassis, body only would still be considered.
Here is the album on the truck for additional pictures, I do have the original mirror brackets except for one piece missing. The stainless is in real nice condition, and should be a minimal effort to have them polished up to a show condition. This is a 5 Star Custom Cab truck.
