Drag car for Sale
A friend of mine informed me of this car and asked if I would pass the information around. My friend, Don, knows the daughter of the guy who built the car. Tragically he was killed in a rollover tanker truck accident in late Nov just before Thanksgiving. The daughter told Don about the car saying her Mom wanted to sell it along with some of her husbands other car/drag stuff and tools/shop equipment and wanted Don to look every thing over and see what it was worth. She is asking $8k for the car and Don said there is at least twice that in the engine alone let alone everything else and labor costs. The wife just wants to sell the car and the other things to bring a bit of closure and is not interested in making a profit.
Details:
Vega body--I'm not sure what year but can find out--most body work is completed and car is in primer
Fiberglass front clip--needs headlight holes cut out
Full custom roll cage
Race built BB Chev-- runs on alcohol
Race prepped Powerglide
9" Ford rearend, traction bar set up--gears ???
Bucket seats with competition seat belts
all gauges and wiring harness are new-could be made street legal easily according to Don.
New rims and drag tires front and back
Car does start and runs and it could be driven as is or be finished out with paint.
Don will be getting some pictures and further details on the car soon if you are interested please e-mail me at hc38t@msn.com and I will put you in touch with either Don or the owners wife. The car is located in northern Colorado

It sounds like a great deal I wish I was closer to it.
I drove tankers till I became disabled a couple years back.
I 've also lost my share of friend in burning tankers, atleast my family
does not have to worry about that anymore.
Our prayers are with the family, it's always harder to lose someone around
the holidays. Every year when it comes back around you think of it.
Thats a dangerous business and my knuckles are still white from all the close calls
I had over my 25 years of diving them and training others to drive them.
God Bless them in thier time of need!!!
