Not much left to finish off this cool project truck...
1957 GMC Stepside rat rod project. rebuilt rearend (by a reputable pro shop), shelby gt 500 wheels (as pictured without the bed), tires about 85% tread life, original refinished wood salvaged from a 1950 chevy panel truck (has yet to be cut down to size as it is much longer than the ones used for the truck) brand new gauges (full cluster), 1957-1963 mercedes 190 seats, custom built solid steel dash, custom side step (driver side finished only), Theres more parts that go with; front and rear bumpers, bed step and more, only thing i don't have is the grill cause i was designing my own.
I have the metal set aside to do the passenger side, driver side rust was cut out and patched in with solid sheet metal, new vent windows (driver side installed) and new windshield wiper motor (electric) from LMC truck.
I Logged 50 hours in just the dash portion of the build alone, and a few hundred manhours in the sheetmetal work cutting out the old bad sections and forming in new ones. I have an inventory of over 250 pictures documenting everything done so far so if theres something you don't see please feel free to ask.
Needs: motor and tranny?? (depends on how you want to buy it), fuel cell or use the stock one, battery, rear shocks, engine crossmember welded or bolted in, motor and trans are in it but not mounted permanant, front suspension finished off on passenger side, sheet metal work done on the passenger side (patches), cab corner front, brakes, for the major stuff, few minor things here n there.
I had envisioned this truck as a blend of 1st series and 2nd series which is why I used parts off a 1950 Chevy Panel truck to incorporate into the redesign of the truck. It still needs a few more things to complete the look or finish it how you envision it. I did include some pics of the sheetmetal that was replaced to give you a better idea of the direction I was going.
Truck carries a clean and clear title which I will sign over with a full bill of sale contract to the new owner. I will also provide all the pictures of during the build on disc for the new owner to look over roughly 250 pictures in total along with a build sheet for the final stages which I put together to use as a reference. There is a motor and tranny for sale if your in need. Contact me for details.
