    440 + 6

My brother has a 440 + 6 intake w/3-2 barrel carbs & air filter & linkage/ factory issue. The intake is orange in color & cast iron. He believes its from 69-71. He was wondering what something like this is worth. Looked around on ebay and found some of these parts but nothing as a complete set-up. If you have any questions I would be glad to direct them to my brother. THANKS

Not sure if Mopar Preformance still carries them or not, but you used to be able to the whole package from them (with an aluminum intake). I would start there to see what they are currently going for.

If memory serves correctly the cast iron manifold was only used fron the introduction in 69 1/2 to the introduction of the 70 models when it was switched to aluminum.

Someone doing a "correct" restoration on a 69 1/2 car might be really intrested in it, but your average rodder will likely want the weigth savings of aluminum.

Another big point is insuring the carbs have NOT been screwed with. THe Mopar 6 Pac was vacume operated on the outboard carbs, and worked pretty well when dialed in. I have seen too many amatures ruin a set of prefectly good carbs by trying to make them "better".

The only true way to tell what it's worth is to throuw it up for sale (like on E Bay) and see what someone is willing to give you for it.
I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

For a Mopar guy trying to restore one of those cars ('69-'71), they are like gold. And if you have the complete set up, including carbs, linkage and air cleaner, it should bring good money.

Hmmm, just did a quick look at ebay and there are three on current listings, and two that were purchased on completed listings.

Hi MikeP ,you got that mixed up the aluminum intakes came on the 691/2 cars then when mamopar went across the board with the 6-pack or bbl the intakes became cast iron. The value of the complete pakage is a hard one to figure out. You can buy a new set from 1900-2500$ or in that erea.
