    360 marine motor

     



    high guys was wondering how many HP is a 360 marine motor stock from the factory have i can buy one rebuilt from a guy for $500 with a rv cam and its has been changed over to the right rotation i am hopeing at least 300 hp thanks for the help

    probably more like 250 horse, if that, just a guess though. Marine motors are built for torque not horses. A little more info like head #s, intake, 2 or 4 BBL, would help decifer this horsie # better.

    I think mooneye is right, I seem to remember these as being rated at something like 275 HP, but that could also be for the 383 engine. We didn't do much with the Chrysler marine engines at our Marina, but they have a reputation for being good, dependable motors.

    I would think all the normal car hop up tricks would work on this 360, so a decent cam, ignition, aluminum intake and carb should get you near the 300 HP mark you are looking for. I'm sure some of our Mopar guys on here can offer some insight into those mods.

    the motor comes with headers a high rise intake and four bbl carb he also said the block is a high nickel block??? i guess that means strong the heads i am not sure about what ones they are but i now they are all fresh with new springs etc.
