1998 donor 318, what to bring with it?
I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 318 / 5.2. The motor and auto trans are destined for a 1947 business coupe. What is the minimum of the electronic control systems that have to come with the engine? Keeping the mPI will keep costs down (as opposed to new manifold nd carb or aftermarket throttle body injection)?
Anyone have any experience with this?

If I had the donor car, I would clear every 1947 wire and electrical component from the car and use every wire, every switch, every electrical component and control box off of the donor. I would use the steering column and all switches, fuses and all other electrical components out from under the dash of the donor. I would also find a way to use the fuel tank with pump and all the fuel level switches and wiring from the donor. When I got through with it, there would be only sheet metal and glass left. I would also run new grounds connecting the engine to the body and the body to the frame. You can do this with only two ground straps. Grind down to bare metal to connect them, then slather the ends with silicone to prevent oxidation.
When I fired this puppy up, the lights would be as bright as a brand new 1998 Cherokee.
