Talking Just wanted to drop in...

Just wanted to drop in and say what's up to everyone here. I am new to the forum, but not to hot rodding. Dad currently has a '65 GTO and a '68 Camaro. He plans on rebuilding his Bantam, but that is in the future.

Me, I use to own a '60 Checy El Camino, but that was sold to pay for school. I am going back in the spring, but picked up my dub right now. She is a '66 Beetle Convertible with a few mods [901 Porsche tranny, 2332cc turbo'd 4cyl, short shifter, real hid's - not blue H4's, and a 3/2 drop].

    To sum everything up, Hi!

I was burning up toooooooo much gas with that 348 so I went to a 409. That way I had a reason to burn that ammount of gas. She also had A/C from the factory and a few other goodies like my radio and a even the origional cardboard backing behind the bench seat.

    I miss her.

I had a 60 chevy(for awhile) with a 4 speed and 348 with 3 deuces I think it was 335 HP. Loved that car and really miss it. I'm still thinking I'll buy another one sometime.

I know the current owner and he has put it back to all origional. I am in the process of talking to a distant neighbor [I live out in the country] who owns a red '60 Elky. I think for it's time, it is a sexy body style and really clean lines. Mine was caddy pearl white w/ a corvette red interior. I layed down a gold pearl on the inside to give it this rich honey glow. The seats were a leather tweed combo. Same on the panels. This one, I would keep in it's origional state, just slam it. Any ways, I need a classic truck to tow my real hot rod
