how's everybody doing? well i just joined last night and i'll state a lil about me here: i'm a junior law enforcement major @ Western Illinois Univ., I'm in a band called One Punch Bettie......i love fast cars and fast music....mainly into the punk/rockabilly/psychobilly scene (rancid, dropkick, horropops, nekromantix, tsunami bomb, transplants, etc.).....i must warn you all i'm a ford guy thru and thru and if you check out my gallery you'll see why (69 mustang)....i try not to be biased towards any old hot rod and it's brand but the '80-'00 gm products i really have no faith in....i believe gm ruined their shots of keeping their american muscle and sit back and let ford just stomp all over them....i wish this was not the case cuz although yes you can still modify...you cannot have any stock competition any more and especially since the camaro and firebird were good for the gm kids that didn't have a lot of money (like me) lol get where i'm goin with this?.....but ya thats my 2 cents.....but i'd just like to say what a wonderful site this is and i hope to learn a lot and see a lot....i've currently been slowly but surely building my mustang for the better part ....well since '98...u do the math lol.....and it's still not done....(i.e. wanna swap the 8" for a 9", more motor mods, different wheels and meats, etc....) but in the process i'd really like to build a rat rod....i've came close many times to doing it but always backed out, for instance when i about purchased a 1951 F1 with the flathead in it.....i wanted to tear it up and rebuild it....buuuuuut everything on the truck was 100% original....i would've surely went to hell for even changing a bolt on that truck but ya i think i've typed enuf lol oh btw if you want the list of mods done to my mustang i can post them, i will say the motor is completely modded, 8" rear end, 11" front discs, b&m hammer shifter, c4 2500 stall, 15X7 torque thrust II's all the way around, flowmaster 40's dual chamber, sony xplod flip face cd player, 6X9 240 watt pioneer speakers, and i can't forget the fuzzy dice lol...(they add at least 20 horsepower....oh and my ford decals....they put 50 horsepower to the wheels....lol i'm sure we've all heard that with those import guys and their "NOS" stickers lol), the picture below is me...in a negative way
