Me and my 71 Nova
Seems I missed this area and was asked to tell a little about myself.....
It all started back in 1976 when I enrolled in a Vo-Tech School as a sophmore in high school and took Auto Mechanics as the trade....
Also got my drivers license that year too....
My father owned a 1967 2 door Impala with a 283 2BBL and let me drive it as long as I could tune it when needed, change a flat tire etc etc
1978 (Senior year High School) Rolled around and father got rid of the 1967 Impala and bought a 1977 Chevy Truck for me to drive
1979 Joined US Army and Got Married (Smart Idea back then)
1984 Left Army
1985 Divorced (Best idea ever) and bought a 1969 2 Door Nova 250 L6
1986 Rebuilt a 1968 327 Engine and did a swap for the 250 L6
1987 Sold the nova and bought a 1987 Camaro RS
1992 Sold the Camaro and bought a 1990 Chevy Truck (needed it more for the work I did then the Camaro)
2000 Sold the truck and bought a 1991 Toyota Celica 2 door (Stupid thing to do)
Mar 2004 Sold Toyota and bought a 1971 Chevy Nova 4 Door 250 L6 (Price was great $650)
Nov 2004 was given a 1983 305 HO Motor that needed rebuilt
Dec 2004 Motor stripped and sent to machine shop and now back in my garage and being assembled and hope to be installed in Nova within next 3 weeks
I gave up working on cars when I joined the Army back in 1979 and only started back with the 69 Nova and then quit again till I got the 71 Nova
I am taking pictures this time from the initial engine compartment with the 250 L6, the 305 Stripped and thru the steps of rebuild and when its all done will put up a web page showing them
Thats my story and I am sticking to itThe scenery never changes when all you ever see is my tail lights
