We are building a 70 Shelby GT 500 superstreet & you can find some pics by looking for 1970 shelby GT 500 Superstreet. We front halfed the car,Nascar tubed the front end, went with a MustangII, Rack, Stainless steel fire wall& splash panels . Shelby fiberglass front end was made into a 1 piece,flip-top,front end ,like the cobra Daytona's. Car as a full 2x4" box tube frame. Rear end was tubbed as much as we could, and using Myier fender flares, we were able to run 15.5"x 15" Hoosier pro-streets on Godfather Billet Mags. 5" on the front. Car has a Currie, narrowed 2" each side ,40Spline detroit Locker with a full coil-over,36" ladder bar setup to get hooked up! 32Gal. ATL fuel cell in the trunk with 2-1/2" gas lines,BG Blower fuel pump and 2 Optima Batterys for fire & tunes!
Motor is Shelby's Alum. 427(452) Stroker motor with a custom built blower hat made from a 2x4 Cobra Oval Air cleaner with a 4" intake tube . We will be running a Pro-charger blower 18-22LBS. witha 4" output.
Interior has Shelby Series 1 Front seats with the VERT rear seats being same color and Leather. Autometer Gauge cluster with 5" Tach & 200MPH Speedo. TKO 600-5 speed tranny with a Kevlar/Kevlar Clutch . Lackwood Clutch cable FE bellhousing, Billet twin Master Cylinders for 4 wheel dics. We hope to make some car Mags. when we get her finished!
