New Guy
Hi,
I'm Gary. I'm new here. I have a Vivid black 1965 Chevy C-10 pick-up I've nicknamed "Elane". She has a sbc 283ci with an Edlbrock performer series intake and 4bbl, Hooker Headers out to dual 40 series Flowmasters (daytona style), and a TH 350 transmission with 4:11's in the rear. I converted to an electric fan, and replaced the hood and front fenders (inner and outter) with an all 1 piece fiberglass front cap. I have lots of plans and ideas that I'm SLOWLY working on. I don't have years of experience as muscle car mechanic, but I've always made minor repairs myself (could'nt aford to send it to the shop). Since I got my 65, its been like a drug... I'm jones'in to fix it up. So .... I may have a few questions for some of you hard core hot rod pros.
Later,
Gary

Thanks again. It had the 283 in it when i got it about 3 yrs ago. I honestly havent had any trouble with it, and it gets pretty good gas milage to boot (as long as you keep your foot out the 4bbl). She's not the fastest, but she's no sloutch either...
