    this sound about right.

H im Dstin and my base of operations is a 69 c10 pickup shortbox as of now its got new paint minimal rust except the usual spots bed below battery and doors right at the corners of the windows. its got a 2 bolt 350 in it as of now that appears stock and tired.

my plan is to build it into a modern street rod with a modest but not to be overlooked apearance.

Wheels: pacer 5lug Juice 20"wheels (20s arent huge anymore).
Brakes: already got disks up front 5 lug hubs.
springs: a 4/5 drop all new coils + sway bars front and rear.
Chassis:reinforced then mostlikely painted with 415 black.
Body: add a roll pan tuck the front bumper remove inner grille shave gas cap door handles antenne embelems. better paint job in black.
Fuel: 19 gal fuel cell under the bed with 1/2 lines either plastic or aluminum. with cap inside bed
Drivetrain:starting with a gm perf BigBlock thinking about a zz502 put to a th400 with a hurst shifter on the floor. driveshaft built accordingly along with rear end.
Interior: red black and Chrome, hidden cd player in dash with fiberglassed cd rack and shelf. all old soft plastic parts will be replaced with made oem looking fiberglass molds. new steering wheel hidden compenent stereo 4 mids 4 tweets and 2 subs. Not sure if i want a factory bench or older corvette seats.

i have had the truck about 2 weeks and that is my goal thus far. any ideas or objections would be appreciated. just so you know im 19 and i weld ambulances together and i am a very good technician. letting you know im not just dreaming.

Black trucks are cool. I had one . . .
    20s arent huge anymore
I just can't bring myself to buy into that. The current trend to put the largest wheels possible on every vehicle needs to die out (with reality TV). Big wheels with rubberband tires on many vehicles kill the proportion of the car. I saw an Alloway Speedstar with 24s, and it just looked odd to me.

I would knock the rust repair out first ,hate to bolt things to a rusty ride and if u can see rust around the windshield it will get real bad fast and leak into the rockers and eat the floor away!!!!!
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

so 20s possibly to big ok maybe 18s.. as for the rust, the cab is emaculate just doors rusty .. and getting on that first is a very good idea. today i pressure washed under the hood and found the spots where water was going in to the cab and where it looks like the master cylinder had once leaked.

suspension is gonna be alot of work i got to lok into spindles brakes bars and arms see what fits and what works
